New Ready Room!

Over the last few months, we have revitalized the former Bridal Suite next to the Sanctuary into a new Ready Room for our traditional service volunteers on Sunday mornings! Thanks to the Memorials Team, we have been able to update the furniture and aesthetics of the room to provide a comfortable and welcoming environment for all volunteers to connect and collaborate. This room will also serve as a multipurpose meeting space, prayer room, and bridal/groom suite for weddings. We hope this new room will honor all those who paved the way, set the standards for our volunteers, and inspire and empower you to continue making a positive impact in our church community. Come check it out and see how you can start volunteering on Sunday mornings at our next volunteer sign-up meeting on Sunday, April 28, immediately following both services.

During Lent, we supported the Ronald McDonald House in Pensacola. Because of you, we exceeded our original goal and raised over $5,500 in monetary donations and tangible goods!

Your donation will help families stay together and focus on their child's care and recovery.

TRINITY'S NEW PASTOR

We are very pleased to announce that the next pastor at Trinity UMC will be Reverend Christina Shaver. Reverend Shaver currently serves at St. Paul UMC in Gulf Breeze and will start at Trinity in early July. She has been the pastor at St. Paul for the last 8 years. Prior to that, she was the associate pastor here at Trinity for 6 years. Her husband, Jonathan, and Christina have been married for 11 years and have 2 boys, James (8) and George (5). Christina commented that she “loves Trinity and knows God is at work through the people of the church.”

We look forward to welcoming Reverend Shaver and her family back to Trinity!

Volunteers Needed for Military Family Appreciation Day!

Here at Trinity UMC, we have a rich history with the military, and what better opportunity to show our support for the local military and their families than participating in Military Family Appreciation Day! Military Family Appreciation Day is an outdoor event at the Fort Walton Beach Landing designed to honor the service and the sacrifices made by military families and veterans throughout our area. The event will include live entertainment, a free children's play area, veteran service organizations, and free food and drinks.

We are honored to be hosting a Trinity booth at this event. We will give out some awesome Trinity prizes and provide information about our church and ministries. We will also be able to meet people where they are and find out how we can best support the military families in our community.

We are looking for volunteers for our Trinity table in two shifts: 10 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. & 1:30 p.m. - 6 p.m. If you're interested in volunteering, please fill out the form below. Volunteer spots will be limited.

It's time for another volunteer meeting! We will have our next meeting on Sunday, April 28, immediately following both services. This is an opportunity to sign up to serve on a Sunday morning!

DAY OF PRAYER - MAY 2

The National Day of Prayer will be held on Thursday, May 2. This annual observance, held on the first Thursday of May, invites people of all faiths to pray for the nation.

We will be hosting two prayer sessions in our sanctuary from 6:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Join us for either or both prayer sessions, and let's come together to pray for our families, friends, and community, and nation as we seek guidance and strength for our daily challenges. See you there!

STUDENT MINISTRY

BABES & FELLAS - APRIL 14

Let's go to church and lunch together! On April 14, we will go to the 11 o'clock traditional service to experience and participate in worship in a way different from our typical contemporary style. After service, we will have lunch at Pepito's in Shalimar. Our friends from Bob Hope Village have asked us to help them with their tech gadgets. Following lunch, we will head over there for about an hour to teach them how to use their iPads, iPhones, and whatever else they have questions about their tech gadgets. Pick up will be at the church at 3 pm. We will still have youth that evening.

WORSHIP NIGHT - APRIL 21

Our April Worship Night is about to be out of this world. Worship night is April 21, and the theme is "Out of this World," so take it and run; maybe you're a planet, a shooting star, or an astronaut. The top 3 most creative costumes will be going home with a prize. Our guest speaker is Mack Bowman, one of Choctaw's most spirited alumni, a well-known real estate agent, and a survivor of a drunk-driving accident. Mack will share a story of darkness and how welcoming light with open arms can change your life.

Trinity Kids is hosting a Spirit Night at Slim Chickens on Miracle Strip Pkwy!

Join us on Monday, April 29, from 5 - 8 p.m. at Slim Chickens on Micracle Strip Pkwy and mention Trinity Kids.15% of all sales will go towards summer activities for our Trinity Kids!
