Frank Mrvan Sticks up for "Border Czar" Kamala Harris

Cedar Lake– Frank Mrvan continues to dig himself into a hole with his abysmal border security track record. He voted against H.R. 3602 which would have prohibited the intentional hindering of immigration, border & customs controls. He voted against H.R. 2, The Secure the Border Act, which would have erected border barriers and required employers to use e-verify, enforced our immigration laws, provided support for our border patrol agents. Now, following his endorsement of the so-called “Border Czar,” Kamala Harris, he stood up for her failed open-border policies that have led to more than 9.5 million border encounters nationwide, including 1.7 million known gotaways. Randy Niemeyer, Lake County Councilman, and Republican nominee in Indiana’s First District, issued the following statement:

“Remember the names of Americans like Laiken Riley, Rachel Morin, Jocelyn Nungary, and others who have lost their lives or suffered heinous violent crimes at the hands of illegal immigrants. These tragedies are a direct result of the open border policies of the Biden/Harris administration and Frank Mrvan. We must hold these radicals accountable for failing to protect our country, turning every community into a border community. This open-border policy has led to increased crime and drained taxpayer resources that should be used to hire more law enforcement and prioritize safety and security. How many more lives must be lost before Frank Mrvan stops prioritizing his radical allies over the lives and safety of Americans in Northwest Indiana and across the country?”

Randy Niemeyer, is a member of the Lake County Council, elected in 2022, after having served as President of the Cedar Lake Town Council. Under Randy’s watch, Cedar Lake was able to turn itself around financially, while expanding its police force, conducting major upgrades to roads, utilities, sewers, and parks, while establishing a municipal fire department. He is a lifelong resident of Northwest Indiana, and has lived in Cedar Lake most of his life, having raised two children there with his wife of twenty-one years. He is the fourth generation of his family in trucking, as the owner of Niemeyer Milk Transfer, where he started working at 18 years old, right after graduating from Hanover Central High School.
