 Hello Everyone!
Here in Canada, it's almost 'Back To School' time. I realize
in many parts of the world, that the kids are already hard at their
studies. Learning is a life-long, ongoing process. It rarely takes
a break for summer holidays, and continues daily with each new
experience.
This summer EbearZ hosted it's first ever Basic Bear Boot Camp
with a record 170 students. We had seasoned experts and first time
bear makers all sharing the same stage and what a fabulously fun

News
from the U!
This Fall we have at least a dozen new courses coming to
EbearZ. We have new teachers from around the globe and fabulous
techniques that we can't wait to share with you! The new
techniques are incredibly versatile, so you can learn something in
one area (say Stuffies) and apply it to your other art (like Bear
Making!) You'll find classes in all of our Faculties this fall.
Paper and Trends will be opening very soon, and we'll be adding
quite a few classes to the Seasonal Faculty as well.
We also have some marvelous new teachers! Ted Menten, whom
many of you may recognize as a pioneer of the teddy bear art
industry will be teaching his class 'Toots' while Anina Remcken
will be teaching the Fantasy Elephant 'Nelli' in the Faculty of
Stuffies. Several other teachers will be announced in our next
newsletter as their classes go live. You won't want to miss
it!
Basic Bear Boot Camp
Inspires New Artists
This summer saw our first ever,
Online Basic Bear Boot Camp. The camp offered an overview of the
EbearZ system, including our new video tutorials to a record 170
students. Many of these participants are new to the art of bear
making, and several even participated to make their very first
bear! A 'Parade of Bears' slide show, from our boot camp
creations, will be coming to the EbearZ home page in early
September, and one lucky creator will win a class of their choice
for submitting the photo. If you'd like to see some of these
creations in advance, you can visit the student photo gallery at
the EbearZ Agora.

 Join Expert Instructor and Teddy Bear
Art Pioneer, Ted Menten, in creating 'A BEAR WITH ATTITUDE!'
All Teddy Bears have personality -- personality just 'happens'
every time one comes to life after the final stitch is in place.
However, not every bear has "attitude" ... but Toots certainly
does!.
Meet "TOOTS" (as in Tootsie) a 19 inch tall girl with attitude to
spare! This class will be all about creating Teddy Bear characters
with distinctive personalities.

 Join Master South African Artist Anina Remcken
in creating this fabulous fantasy elephant named 'Nelli.' You'll
learn wonderful techniques in this class that you can easily adapt
to use in all of your creative endeavors. You'll learn wing
making, armature building, wrapping and shaping as well as
embellishment techniques.
Step by step instructions, full size pattern and our own Agora
messaging with Ted are all included!

Follow up our summer Basic Bear Boot Camp with the Advanced
version. Learn how to instill some character using various
techniques on different teddy bear parts. You'll learn:
- Pattern Alterations
- Advanced jointing
- Dyeing mohair
- Distressing teddy
- Stand UP Paws: Freestanding tips
- Glorious eyes
- A whack of different noses
- Open mouth techniques
- Sculpting in resin: teeth, noses & claws
Boot camp includes 12 video lessons, step by step

Registration
In order to keep our class sizes
manageable for the instructors, class sizes will be limited to 20.
We want all our students to have the full attention of the
teachers, and believe this would not be possible with extremely
large class sizes.

you'd like to share at Ebearz? We are currently looking for
teachers in almost all art forms. We offer a very competitive
remuneration package and a writer's fee.

- Trends (Steampunk etc)
- Fibre
