February is the month of LOVE! Hope everyone had a lovely Valentine's Day and shared it with someone special. I've certainly enjoyed being home for the last seven weeks but have been very busy booking trips for all of you. Never fails! When the snow falls, you dream of warm destinations to visit and my phone rings. Always happy to help get you where you want to be. Planning a vacation gives us hope and something to look forward to during the tough times. Need new ideas? Give me a call and together we can find a wonderful destination for you to visit this year.

Leaving on a Jet Plane.....

It's that time again! Accessible Seas 2020 will sail on RCCL's Symphony of The Seas on Saturday, February 22 from Port Miami. We have lots of repeat cruisers as well as several new people who are looking forward to exploring St. Maarten and San Juan as well as the new private island of Coco Cay. Next month's Newsletter will have a full report on our cruise including a review of Coco Cay. I'm looking forward to trying Hooked, a new specialty restaurant featuring seafood set in a beautiful New England environment.

RCCL's Allure of The Seas is
Coming to Galveston!!!

Great NEWS for Texans and everyone else as well.

Royal Caribbean has agreed to invest megabucks into the Port of Galveston to build a state of the art terminal building. The city of Galveston has agreed to build a new parking structure. For those of us who have been to Galveston, this is very exciting as the current port and parking leave a lot to be desired. As a result of this investment, RCCL will be bringing Allure of The Seas (one of my favorite ships) to homeport in Galveston in late 2021. Reservations are now open through the end of April 2022 and are expected to sell out very quickly. I have group space available the last week of April for anyone who is interested.

Here's A Travel Tip For YOU....

Traveling With Medical Devices & Supplies

Do You Know Medical Equipment
Flies For Free?

Passengers may bring as many pieces of medical equipment as they need on planes at no extra charge. This includes wheelchairs, scooters, crutches, walkers, canes, etc. Many people who use power chairs also bring a manual chair with them as well and many of you have multiple devices that you use depending on the situation.
Another category of medical supplies is "soft goods" which typically represents items such as catheters, bandages, depends, etc. and are usually one time use. When traveling with large amounts of these supplies, pack them in their own suitcase and mark the outside, "Medical Supplies". I recommend using a bag that, when empty, can fold down and fit into your regular luggage. This way you will not need to pay for an extra piece of luggage that is empty on your return flight. It is VERY IMPORTANT not to put anything of a personal nature in the bag with these supplies. Once you co-mingle your items, you will negate the ability to claim this as Medical.

Do you know that we actually plan more trips for individuals than we do for our groups? We love when you participate in our groups but please remember to call us when you want to plan a vacation for the two of you or with a group of friends or family members. We can most likely plan any type of vacation you want and we will be sure to address all your accessibility requirements and needs. We so enjoy doing the research for you and look forward to planning that next trip just for you! Also, if you see one of our groups that you would like to do but perhaps the dates don't work, give us a call. We can usually duplicate the same trip just for you and your travel companions.
