Cruise ship anchored in Philipsburg_ St. Maarten
CRUISING IS BACK!!!

I am so happy to announce that cruising is back. Celebrity is sailing today from Florida and Royal Caribbean's Freedom of The Seas departs July 2. Other cruise lines are working on their restarts as well. Here's the current scoop for cruises out of Florida ports. The governor will not allow cruise lines to require that all passengers be vaccinated. However, the majority of guests will be vaccinated as will 100% of crew members. Guests younger than 12 will be tested for Covid at no charge. Unvaccinated guests 12 and over will require testing at their own expense. Cost is $136.00 per passenger and charges will be put on their onboard account. Some ship venues will be restricted to vaccinated guests and non-vaccinated guests will follow more stringent guidelines during their cruise. Alaska cruises out of Seattle will require all passengers to be vaccinated. Please note that at this time, cruises are operating with reduced capacity to insure safe sailing. Capacity will ramp up slowly over the coming months. I am definitely ready to set sail but too busy getting all of you scheduled to cruise and dealing with the new house. You are keeping me very busy booking your much anticipated cruises for this year and next.

Cruise Line Updates...

The cruise industry is seeing a huge demand from people ready to hit the high seas. I've been very busy booking cabins for travel beginning in September, 2021. Cruises for 2022 and beyond are filling up very quickly, especially accessible staterooms. I recommend securing a cabin now and reserving with a refundable deposit.

Debra & Steve's Medical Update...

We are doing very well. Steve has been very compliant with his physical therapy schedule and is making excellent progress. He is almost ready to give up using the cane but still needs to be cautious. I'm back to swimming and almost pain free. Water exercise is so beneficial and feels great. Thanks again to everyone for your caring and concern.
Vaccine for COVID-19 in 2021 is closer to reality. COVID-19 Vaccine. vaccine against coronavirus disease 2019 will be available on 2021. 2021-new year with corona virus vaccine concept.
Have You Received Your
Vaccine Yet???

While we know that not everyone will get vaccinated, we believe very strongly that this is the right thing to do. We are coming to the end of 16 months of isolation and suffering and we need to come together so that all of us feel safe. I will require my group participants to be vaccinated for my safety and theirs as well as the safety of other travelers.

PLEASE NOTE THAT YOU WILL NEED THE VACCINE FOR MOST TRAVEL.

ALASKA 2021

ALASKA IS OPEN FOR BUSINESS BEGINNING END OF JULY, 2021

The Alaska Tourism Recovery Act has been signed into law. This is fantastic news for cruisers and for the state of Alaska who depends on tourism to support much of their economy. The law allows cruise ships to cruise to US ports without the mandatory stop in a foreign port (Canada). Interested in an Alaska Cruise this summer? Call me and let's get you booked! 800.920.8989

Is the Pandemic Over?

Not sure, but we have definitely made a lot of progress and are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. It's so nice to not have to wear a mask everywhere we go. However, we all need to proceed carefully and not become too complacent. We all saw how quickly Covid 19 spread and wreaked havoc on our lives. So, enjoy some new found freedoms but be careful and practice common sense.

MY PANDEMIC READING LIST

Everyone seems to be enjoying my "Pandemic Reading List" and the books I've read since March, 2020. I'm enjoying your comments and book suggestions! Books below in red are my newest reads. I truly love escaping into the pages and lives of the characters.

Fly Away Home by Jennifer Weiner
Cooking For Picasso by Camille Aubrey
Educated by Tara Westover
Summer of 69 by Elin Hilderbrand
Big Summer by Jennifer Weiner
A Gentleman in Moscow by Amor Towles
Florence Adler Swims Forever by Rachel Beanland
American Dirt by Jeanine Cummins
An Unorthodox Match by Naomi Ragen
Beneath A Scarlett Sky by Mark Sullivan
The Great Alone by Kristin Hannah
Eli's Promise by Ronald Balson
Before We Were Yours by Lisa Wingate ( One of my favorites!)
Where The Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens
The Last Tackle by James Wallgren (read review above)
The Vanishing Half by Brit Bennett
Bel Canto by Ann Patchett
Time For Mercy by John Grisham
Lost Friends by Lisa Wingate
The Book Woman of Troublesome Creek by Kim Michele Richardson
Four Winds by Kristin Hannah
The Midnight Library by Matt Haig (not a favorite!)
That Summer by Jennifer Weiner
Have You Seen Luis Velez? by Catherine Ryan Hyde (current read)

Some of these are easy reading (Chick Lit) but some are fairly intense. Enjoyed every one of these books. Reading is a great escape to another time and place which I think we can all benefit from. I must admit that as work picks up, my reading is slowing down!
New House UPDATE:

The house is moving along and next week brick and stone will be adorning my new home. Can't wait to drive by and see the house bricked. They've had problems getting the brick layers but they are on site now. Cabinets and doors have been installed and painters are painting and doing trim work. Next is counter tops. Wish I could go inside but the ground is too uneven and dangerous for me. I've had my new office designed and ordered and installation is set for mid September. Office chairs were ordered this morning. My office is where I spend the most time so getting this done right is very important! In the meantime, it continues to be a very strong sellers market here so looking forward to getting top dollar for my current house.
