We Make YOUR Travel Plans EASY
types of transport liners with a globe and luggage
I woke up January 1 hoping that 2020 had been a bad dream. How was it possible that I had not been on a plane or a cruise ship for 10 months. But, alas, nothing was waiting to be packed in the guest room aka "packing" room and my suitcases were collecting dust. My travel toiletries, always ready to go on a moment's notice, were old and out of date. 2021 got off to a rocky start but I remain optimistic that things will turn around and we will all get vaccinated and begin traveling again without fear and hesitation. How precious that first trip will be and how we will cherish the experience. I worry that I have acclimated to staying home and wonder if I will go to the airport with the same confidence and excitement that I've always had. Time will tell but I do know I'm certainly looking forward to finding out.
Wishing all of you a happy, healthy and safe 2021!

Cruise Line Updates...

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recently issued a Framework for Conditional Sailing Order that introduces a phased approach for a safe return of cruising. In the order, the CDC outlines that cruise lines are no longer able to sail itineraries that are longer than 7 nights and call on a U.S. port. This affects sailings between Jan. 1 and Nov. 1, 2021. To ensure compliance, cruise lines have temporarily paused the sale of such cruises as they evaluate options and determine the necessary itinerary updates or changes. We expect to have more information in coming weeks and will be in touch with you once we have updates to share. Thank you for your continued patience and loyalty during this extraordinary time.

Most cruise lines have now extended their pause in sailing through April 30, 2021 (some further out) in light of the recent surge in Covid-19 cases. They are still moving forward with all the changes that need to be made to insure we are all safe when we do return to cruising, I will bring you the latest news each month so you can be informed.

If you have a cruise booked, please check with the cruise line's website and with your Travel Consultant for the most recent news and information.

MY PANDEMIC READING LIST

Everyone seems to be enjoying my "Pandemic Reading List" and the books I've read since March. I'm enjoying your comments and book suggestions! Books below in red are my newest reads. I truly love escaping into the pages and lives of the characters.

Fly Away Home by Jennifer Weiner
Cooking For Picasso by Camille Aubrey
Educated by Tara Westover
Summer of 69 by Elin Hilderbrand
Big Summer by Jennifer Weiner
A Gentleman in Moscow by Amor Towles
Florence Adler Swims Forever by Rachel Beanland
American Dirt by Jeanine Cummins
An Unorthodox Match by Naomi Ragen
Beneath A Scarlett Sky by Mark Sullivan
The Great Alone by Kristin Hannah
Eli's Promise by Ronald Balson
Before We Were Yours by Lisa Wingate ( One of my favorites!)
Where The Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens
The Last Tackle by James Wallgren (read review above)
The Vanishing Half by Brit Bennett
Bel Canto by Ann Patchett

Some of these are easy reading (Chick Lit) but some are fairly intense. Enjoyed every one of these books. Reading is a great escape to another time and place which I think we can all use a little of right now.
My next book is Time for Mercy by John Grisham.
New House UPDATE:

Nothing much to report but hoping they will break ground any day now. They are getting the models ready for their new occupants and then will begin the process of building three new homes from the ground up. Still hoping for early summer completion. I have an appointment in mid-February at the Design Center to pick all my options. It's a little overwhelming but exciting!

We love when you participate in our groups but please remember to call us when you want to plan a vacation for the two of you or with a group of friends or family members. We can most likely plan any type of vacation you want and we will be sure to address all your accessibility requirements and needs. We so enjoy doing the research for you and look forward to planning that next trip just for you! Also, if you see one of our groups that you would like to do but perhaps the dates don't work, give us a call. We can usually duplicate the same trip just for you and your travel companions.
