We Make YOUR Travel Plans EASY
happy adult woman wearing winter clothes and sitting on wheelchair in the snow
Hoping everyone enjoyed a lovely Valentine's Day with loved ones either in person or via Face Time or Zoom. I woke up in Dallas to a winter wonderland which soon became very difficult for many in Texas. Prolonged power outages and frozen pipes led to no water and burst pipes. Texas is not prepared to deal with several days of frigid below freezing temperatures. I'm very happy to say that we were spared and made it through the stormy week unscathed. I want to thank all of you who called and emailed to check up on us and see how we were doing. Your concern meant a lot and was very much appreciated. We have thawed out in the last few days and everyone here is looking forward to spring. The groundhog did predict 6 more weeks of winter back on February 2!

WE ARE RETURNING TO ALASKA July 29 - Aug. 5, 2022

I recently made the very difficult decision to cancel our 2021 Alaska Cruise due to cruise ship restrictions imposed by Canada. While the cruise lines are busy trying to resolve this situation and find a "work around", I felt it was better to plan for 2022. Just in...Holland America has officially suspended all cruises entering or departing from Canada through September 2021.

Sail with us to Alaska, round trip Seattle on RCCL's Ovation of The Seas!
Visit the ports of Sitka, Skagway, Juneau and Victoria, BC. All ports are docked. Ovation is a beautiful ship and has so much to offer including IFly, bumper cars and more. Fantastic entertainment and dining options. Alaska is selling out for 2022 so claim your stateroom NOW. Deposits are fully refundable until final payment.

Cruise Line Updates...

Royal Caribbean's President and CEO, Michael Bayley, recently told travel industry publications that new technology will be a huge step forward in getting cruise ships sailing again and putting passenger's minds at ease.

Most cruise lines have now extended their pause in sailing through April 30, 2021 (some further out) in light of the recent surge in Covid-19 cases. They are still moving forward with all the changes that need to be made to insure we are all safe when we do return to cruising, I will bring you the latest news each month so you can be informed.

If you have a cruise booked, please check with the cruise line's website and with your Travel Consultant for the most recent news and information.
New Trips for 2022 & Beyond...

Once most travel has resumed and we are welcomed back to Europe, we will begin working on other trips including a land trip to Ireland in 2022.
Remember, you don't have to wait for a group to travel. We are happy to plan a trip just for you!

Everyone seems to be enjoying my "Pandemic Reading List" and the books I've read since March. I'm enjoying your comments and book suggestions! Books below in red are my newest reads. I truly love escaping into the pages and lives of the characters.

Fly Away Home by Jennifer Weiner
Cooking For Picasso by Camille Aubrey
Educated by Tara Westover
Summer of 69 by Elin Hilderbrand
Big Summer by Jennifer Weiner
A Gentleman in Moscow by Amor Towles
Florence Adler Swims Forever by Rachel Beanland
American Dirt by Jeanine Cummins
An Unorthodox Match by Naomi Ragen
Beneath A Scarlett Sky by Mark Sullivan
The Great Alone by Kristin Hannah
Eli's Promise by Ronald Balson
Before We Were Yours by Lisa Wingate ( One of my favorites!)
Where The Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens
The Last Tackle by James Wallgren (read review above)
The Vanishing Half by Brit Bennett
Bel Canto by Ann Patchett
Time For Mercy by John Grisham
Lost Friends by Lisa Wingate (currently reading)

Some of these are easy reading (Chick Lit) but some are fairly intense. Enjoyed every one of these books. Reading is a great escape to another time and place which I think we can all use a little of right now.
My next book is The Book Woman of Troublesome Creek by Kim Michele Richardson
New House UPDATE:

Nothing much to report but hoping they will break ground any day now. They are getting the models ready for their new occupants and then will begin the process of building three new homes from the ground up. Construction has been delayed due to the Texas snow and ice so, once again, I must exercise patience. Design Center appointment is Thursday, February 25. Hopefully, once options have been selected, building will commence.
We Do Individual & Group Travel
Do you know that we actually plan more trips for individuals than we do for our groups? We love when you participate in our groups but please remember to call us when you want to plan a vacation for the two of you or with a group of friends or family members. We can most likely plan any type of vacation you want and we will be sure to address all your accessibility requirements and needs. We so enjoy doing the research for you and look forward to planning that next trip just for you! Also, if you see one of our groups that you would like to do but perhaps the dates don't work, give us a call. We can usually duplicate the same trip just for you and your travel companions.
Need a Scooter?
We can help!
SNG has an online store where you can purchase masks, gloves, thermometers and other medical supplies.

Do you need to rent a scooter or other mobility equipment for your next cruise or land trip?
Be sure and let us know and we can make arrangements for you through Special Needs Group.

Standard and heavy duty scooters, wheelchairs, hospital beds, hoyer lifts, lift chairs, oxygen and more are all possibilities for you when you travel.
