CityRep is proud to present the regional premiere of the highly acclaimed Off-Broadway drama,  THE AMISH PROJECT.

This profoundly moving, thought-provoking and beautiful one-woman tour-de-force performance compels us to examine the path we take at the crossroads of grief, tragedy, and clemency.

Inspired by the 2006 school shootings in Nickel Mines, Pennsylvania, this thinly-veiled fictional account of a real-life tragedy allows us to glimpse into the world of Amish culture and to explore the mystery and quiet power of compassion, faith and forgiveness.

CityRep presents this remarkable drama in conjunction with the 20th anniversary of the Murrah Federal Building bombing as both a memorial and an exploration of one of the darkest moments in our own community's history and the path we've taken since.

"Extraordinary....compelling...the play is a remarkable piece of writing."

"I regard the theater as the greatest of all art forms, the most immediate way in which a human being can share with another the sense of what it is to be a human being."
