Josh here at UB Boston, writing to let you know that I've been hard at work polishing and rehairing several of our UB Workshop Double Bass bows over the summer and fall months, and am happy to report that we now have in stock both French and German bows in all three hair choices!

With the holidays just around the corner, this is your chance to get one of these bows (a hot holiday item) while they're still in stock. As I can only rehair so many bows per day,  the closer to December we get the less will be ready for immediate shipping.

We currently have two Claude Marchand bows (one French, one German) from the Martin workshop in England. Gary hand selected these at the Bass2012 Convention in Copenhagen (where we incidentally won the Best Tone Award for our UB Brescian Model Double Bass!) and brought them back with him to the shop. These are the only two in stock at this time- they're the cr�me de la cr�me!

These bow pull an extraordinarily quick note with a deep, rich tone. If you're looking to maximize the potential of your double bass, this is the bow for you.

Along with rehairing UB Workshop bows, I've also been busy restoring a host of vintage and used bows and getting them back in to playable (and beautiful) condition. Some long awaiting repair have been brought back to life, while others have seen a good cleaning and polishing and a new silver/leather wrap.
