It's almost here!
The Findlay Family YMCA Youth Triathlon, a USAT-sanctioned event, will start at Riverside Park at 9 a.m. (check-in at 8 a.m.).
With three fun sports - swimming, biking, and running - triathlons offer kids the chance to learn from a variety of exercise skills and enhance fitness skills with the larger goal of developing self-esteem, teamwork, goal setting, self-discipline, and friendly competition.
This year's inclusive event will feature an All Abilities Division for youth with developmental differences.
Join us as we celebrate their strength, determination, and the spirit of youth empowerment as they make waves, break barriers, and cross finish lines!
To participate, Register with the USAT first, and then on the YMCA's website.
We're still looking for volunteers to help with the event, too! To sign up, visit https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C084DA8AB28A6F9C16-findlay#/ or email Sierra Hutton, development director, at shutton@findlayymca.com.

Don't let summer slip away without taking advantage of the Findlay-Hancock County Community Foundation-sponsored free swim Saturdays at Riverside Pool as part of the organization's Fun for All series! The last two free swim days will be offered July 27 and Aug. 10 (following the Youth Triathlon).
Keep in mind: there is a limit to the number of pool attendees; the first free swim day at Riverside this year was a scorcher, and attendance did reach its limit.

FROGS WRAP UP SEASON
Our FROGS swim team had big wins and lots of fun competing at the recent Western Ohio Aquatics League Championship held in Bluffton! Personal best times and podium visits were celebrated. The team placed fifth overall and won the Sportsmanship Award that was voted on by coaches from each team.
"The waiting in the water for races to finish, high fives, cheering, being respectful, grateful and humble when we do well, always doing what is right, and apologizing when we mess up - those are the things that matter most. Congrats on a great meet and season!" FROGS Assistant Coach Heather Chan told team members.
