An event that I am creating for all types of performers: singers, poets, musicians, dancers, magicians, story tellers, comedians, jugglers, etc. to come and perform and get connected to our wonderful community (Art and Photo exhibits are also welcome). I am looking for all sorts of performers for these events, so please contact me if you are interested (IM, text/call 215-873-1159). I am also looking to invite young adults to join in our community and perform and be welcomed. The idea is to have at least 3 featured performers (20 to 40 Minute sets) and 9 to 12 open mic performers 5 to 10 minute sets). The possibility of these events is to create Love, Connection and Creativity. I have been welcomed into the wonderful art and performance community here in Philadelphia, and I want to contribute back. These events will be as much about performing as about connecting with people and making new friends or partners in the Arts.

Philadelphia Museum of Art
Philadelphia, PA
Ink and Gold: Art of the Kano
Continues through May 10, 2015
Ink and Gold explores the stunning artistry of the esteemed Kano painters, the most enduring and influential school of painting in Japanese history. Established by Kano Masanobu in the fifteenth century, the lineage created and upheld standards of artistic excellence in Japan for nearly five hundred years. The exhibition presents more than 120 works of art spanning the school's long and illustrious history with a focus on large-scale, gold leaf folding screens and sliding doors designed for residences of Japan's ruling elite. This exhibition, which also includes ink paintings, hanging scrolls, and folding fans, is the first outside Japan-and the first anywhere since 1979- to so fully examine the Kano painters' legacy.
