The Honorable John Michael Guidry, a life long resident of East Baton Rouge Parish, became the first African American, to serve as Chief Judge for the 1st Circuit Court of Appeal.
The Honorable Judge John Michael received his B.A. in Political Science from LSU in 1983 and is a 1987 Cum Laude graduate of the Southern University Law School.

Major Reginald Brown, Sr.
Major Reginald R. Brown, Sr., retired Baton Rouge, Louisiana Law Enforcement Professional Of 43 years, continues his Bicycle Journey. A 1964 graduated of T. A. Levy High School and attended Southern University for 2 years. The father of 4 children of which 1 is deceased, having lost his life in a automobile accident. Is married to Gayle Miller Boyd-Brown.
Major Brown began his career in 1975 as a Deputy Sheriff with the East Baton Rouge Sheriff Office. Rising to the Rank Of Major and Sheriff's Administrative Assistant, having retired after 25 years.
He was elected as the first African American Baton Rouge City Constable in 2000 and was re-elected twice serving 18 years before retiring in 2018.He served as host,and founder for the WXOK Radio Show, named "Major Topic," and served as founder/president for the "Holiday Helpers" for 30 years.

Rev. Frank Rideau, Jr.
Rev. Frank Rideau, Jr., is a native of St. Landry Parish, the son of the late Frank Rideau, Sr. and Beatrice Sam-Rideau, who's parent were share croppers, he is the youngest of fourteen sibling. Rev. Rideau, upon graduating from Plaisance High School, in 1969, attended Southern University, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where he earned a B.A. Degree in Park and Recreation in 1973, he went on to certify in Physical Education and Safety Education in 1975. Upon graduating from Southern University, he became employed with the Baranco-Clark YMCA for 23 years as he served as Executive Director. Rev. Rideau, is the founder of the Baranco-Clark YMCA Black Achievers Program, that provided students in 9th-12th grades with positive role models, that place students with employees from corporations in Baton Rouge and surrounding areas
Rev. Rideau, is the founder/president of "We The People Network, Inc." and that has been existing for fourteen year. Rev. Rideau, have served as president for the following organizations: South Baton Kiwanis Club, Baton Rouge Red Stick Lions Club, EBRP Westdale Middle School PTA, EBRP Wonderland Head Start, Mt Pilgrim Baptist Church Brotherhood Program. He received a trailblazer award for the New St. John Baptist Church, and many other awards, that include the Honorary Louisiana Governor award.

Mr. Joseph A. Delpit
The Honorable Joseph A. Delpit, known as Joe Delpit, born January 9, 1940, is an African American businessman from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, who from 1976 to 1992 was a Democratic State Representative for District 67. Earlier, he was the first black to serve on the East Baton Rouge Parish Commission, the combined city-parish government, the first black to serve as Pro-Temp for the Louisiana House Representatives, and also owner and Maker of the Best Chicken in Louisiana, " The Chicken Shack".
