A new process for serving in Youth Ministry!
Deep breaths as we begin this crazy busy season coming to the end of the school year! It’s amazing how time flies! I am sending you all prayers for patience, comfort and peace as you navigate the many many pressures on your family during this time.
I would like to try something new with our serving times in youth ministry for the next few weeks. My hope is that this will take some of the pressure off of you to remember to sign up for serving times while also trying to navigate the schedules of your family.
I know there are many factors when it comes to signing up to serve in youth ministry. Whether you are not comfortable teaching a Sunday School class, your students don’t want you around because they want to feel more independent, or you simply can’t add one more thing to your plate. Trust me, I understand!
As members of Trenholm Road we are called to serve in many ways, and sometimes that means stepping out of our comfort zone, helping to lead the the development of our student’s faith or even adding that one more thing. If we can all be willing to give just a couple of hours of our time, it lessens the load on everyone.
Sunday April 14th's Upper Room was about bearing each other’s burdens, "Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ." - Galatians 6:2. Let’s carry this together!
Ok, Linda get to the point ;-)! Going forward I will be pre- assigning my adults to serving spots. You should receive a notification on Realm when you have been assigned a serving time. When you see that, if you are able to serve simply select accept and we are good. If you are not able, you will select decline and then please reach out to a fellow parent to replace you and find another time slot for yourself. That’s it!
Please, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me with any questions or concerns with this process!
I appreciate each and every one of you more than I can say!
Many Blessings,
Linda
