Dear SEIU 509 Member,

Thank you for RSVPing for our Lobby Day on Wednesday, May 15th! We’re excited to see you next Wednesday. 

Here’s what you need to know:

Logistics & accessibility

• Meet at SEIU 32BJ on the 2nd Floor at 10 AM
• 26 West St, Boston, MA 02111 - 2nd floor
• Agenda for the day can be found here.
• This will be a fragrance-free event for the safety & comfort of all attendees. Please do not wear or use any perfume, cologne, scented lotion, hair spray, aftershave, scented deodorant, anything aerosol (scented or unscented) or air fresheners. Unscented non-aerosol products are acceptable.
• Spanish and ASL interpretation will be available.
• All buildings we are using have accessible entrances.
• We will be providing coffee and pastries in the morning and box lunch sandwiches. There will be vegetarian and gluten free options available.
• Purple up! Bring your 509 t-shirt if you have one.

Reimbursements/lost time

• We are happy to reimburse for parking (or public transit!) and mileage for all members who join us on Lobby Day. We kindly ask you to consider the environment and carpool or use public transit whenever possible. SEIU 509 will reimburse for parking or public transit up to $28 for the day. All mileage will be reimbursed at the IRS rate.

• We are happy to provide per diem reimbursement. In order to be reimbursed for work hours missed, we will need written documentation that you were scheduled to work on May 15 (Examples of documentation include a copy of your schedule, a letter from your manager, letter of assistants providing coverage, or other supporting documents).

• Este será un evento libre de fragancias para la seguridad y comodidad de todos los asistentes. Se pide no llevar ni utilizar perfumes, colonias, lociones perfumadas, productos para el pelo, lociones para después del afeitado, desodorantes perfumados, aerosoles (perfumados o no) ni ambientadores. Se aceptan productos no perfumados y sin aerosol.

• Habrá interpretación al español y al ASL.
• Todos los edificios que utilizaremos tienen entradas accesibles.
• Proporcionaremos café y pan dulce por la mañana y bocadillos para el almuerzo. Habrá opciones vegetarianas y sin gluten.
• ¡Ponte morado! Trae tu camiseta 509 si tienes una.

Reembolsos/tiempo perdido

• Reembolsaremos los gastos de aparcamiento (o transporte público) y kilometraje a todos los afiliados que nos acompañen el Día del Lobby. Le rogamos que tenga en cuenta el medio ambiente y comparta coche o utilice el transporte público siempre que sea posible. SEIU 509 reembolsará los gastos de aparcamiento o transporte público hasta un máximo de 28 dólares por día. Todo el kilometraje se reembolsará según la tasa del IRS.
