It's time! Your vote counts.
Annual Drive Starts Today:
Senior Community Connections (formerly Davidson Village Network) provides members with social activities, community meals, transportation to appointments, personal advocacy, technology assistance, and crucial programs. This year, our volunteers completed 300+ services for our members! Most importantly, SCC offers a social community for developing meaningful friendships and connections. With the generous support of the Davidson Village Inn and The Vine Society, we have a tree at Rotary’s Giving Village again this year.

SCC members and volunteers have lovingly decorated a beautiful tree in the Rotary Giving Tree Village. Our tree is part of a competitive fundraiser. Vote for our tree today online. The trees with the most votes by the end of the contest can win up to $1000 more for their charities. Each vote is $1 and 100% goes directly to the work of SCC. Online votes are in increments of $5.

Volunteers lovingly decorated our tree to invoke feelings of warmth, personal connection, and friendship. It celebrates the golden years and honors all of the people who serve our seniors.

The gloves on the tree represent warmth and the personal connections we foster throughout the year. The gleaming touches throughout the tree reflect the older adults in our community living intentionally in their golden years. The stars highlight all of the selfless volunteers helping to carry out the mission of SCC every single day.

We are so appreciative of all of your support. Vote, follow us on social media and share with your friends and family. Each year we place in the top 3. Let's go for first this year! Voting will continue through December 10th at 9:00 pm and winners will be announced on 12/11.

Thank you to our friends at Williams Place for partnering with us to host our monthly Coffee Chat with SCC members and new friends. We had a festive and cheery time!
In 2021, our volunteers performed 300+ services
including: friendly calls and visits, help in the yard and around the house, technology assistance, errands,
transportation, programs & events, and more to seniors in our network.

Transportation is an invaluable service SCC regularly and consistently provides, and it is the most requested assistance by members. This critical resource allows for older community members to complete necessary errands and appointments. Members can schedule rides to places such as grocery stores, doctors offices, pharmacies, hairdressers, and banks. It also allows them a means for social engagement like transportation to live performances, the movies, and visits with friends. As a bonus, this service allows members to connect with a SCC volunteer in a way that can easily strike up new friendships.

On average SCC volunteers are providing 5 rides per week!
