CannaVet Festival will provide a safe place for Veterans to try medicinal cannabis and become educated on how to properly use it.
The purpose of the CannaVet Festival is to create a safe and educational atmosphere for Veterans to help each other with their service-connected disabilities through the use of medicinal cannabis and the support of their community.

Veterans Cannabis Group, VCG, will be discussing combat-related PTSD and other service-connected disabilities and how medicinal cannabis can help relieve some of those symptoms. The event will provide a safe place for Veterans to try medicinal cannabis and learn about how to use it properly; dosing and different delivery methods (smoking, vaporizing, edibles, tinctures, etc.). There will be cooking classes throughout the day on how to make your own cannabis infused edibles, informative educational panels with professional doctors, cannabis entrepreneurs, and Veteran advocates telling their stories about how medicinal cannabis has helped improve their lives.
“We’re thrilled to collaborate with the VCG in order to welcome our nation’s heroes for a day of fellowship, learning and healing,” stated VFW Post 720 Commander, Herb Harrison. “It is imperative to their post-service success that our Veteran women and men have safe access to medicines to alleviate their service-connected physical and emotional traumas.”

Featuring fun music, food, a job fair and medicinal cannabis to sample, CannaVet Fest also offers educational panels in which attendees can learn from medical experts and doctors about the various ways they can use medicinal cannabis.
In addition to educational panels, hands-on cooking classes will guide attendees as to how to make their own cannabis-infused edibles and topicals.
