Columbus City Council is now accepting applications for the next internship cohort! The 2024-25 school year program will run from September to April and is open to any college junior, senior, or first-year graduate student.
Interns are expected to work up to 20 hours a week and will be compensated $17/hr. Selected students will be placed in the following offices:
- Councilmember Offices
- Communications
- Community Engagement
- Legislative Research Office
- City Clerk's Office
The program will give students a comprehensive understanding of the legislative process through constituent relations, data collection, policy analysis, and other assigned tasks specific to the office.
Interested applicants must fill out the online form here, and email a 1-3 page writing sample and resume to NIWalters@columbus.gov. The deadline to apply is Friday, July 5, 2024.
