Volunteers Needed - Update Your Information to Help

In order to apply to be a volunteer you must:



  1. Complete the Volunteer Application
  2. Complete a Tuberculous (TB) risk assessment form or provide proof of a negative TB test that is less than 4 years old. The TB risk assessment certificate of completion can be signed by a family physician or the Grove School Nurse.
  3. LiveScan/Fingerprint Information - Department of Justice fingerprint clearance is required if you volunteer. Please have your fingerprints processed at a certified Live Scan facility https://oag.ca.gov/fingerprints/locations?county=San%20Bernardino Click here to access the Live Scan form needed to take to the Live Scan facility. LiveScan costs around $62 and Grove will reimburse for the cost.
  4. Complete the Mandated Reporter Training: Go to https://abuse-keenan.safeschools.com/register/151f397d and open a free account. Complete the Mandated Reporter (Social & Behavioural) training. "Please email a copy of the certificate (not the link, it won't open) to cbrown@thegroveschool.org. Screenshots are acceptable, as are pictures taken with a cellphone, as long as the image is legible.

Happening in the Community

Animal Adoption


This past Saturday, we took animals down to an Animal Sanctuary in Ventura County. This Sanctuary is owned by actress, Kaley Cuoco. Thank you to Kaley Cuoco, Pet Haven, and Tracey Wade for providing our animals with a furever home!

Community Lunch


The last Community Lunch of the School Year happened last week. It was an exciting lunch featuring games, BBQ sandwiches, and a petting zoo, courtesy of AAES.

Model UN Field Trip


Model UN Students headed to Long Beach Polytechnic High School this weekend for the Jackrabbit MUN VI.

Grove Students Being Published


Two Grove 9th Graders, Chea Hwang and Izzy Davidson, are having their poetry featured in the American High School Poets- Mayflowers 2024 Anthology! The Anthology goes on sale on Amazon on May 31st.


You can read Chea Hwang's poem, "My World", which was selected as a Topical Winner and Izzy Davidson's poem, "Inside of Me", which was selected as a Topical Winner in the Anthology. Congratulations to both students on their hard work and perseverance!

Grove Parent Teacher Group (GPTG) News

Give to the Key Experience Fund

The GPTG (Grove Parent Teacher Group) is excited to launch the new official Grove merch site at https://groveptg.org/. There is Grove School Merch available now. There is no minimum order and products will be shipped directly to you!


Groups can also sign up to work with a designer in order to post new designs as a fundraiser. Sign-ups are on the website.
