What's New Review

June 2024

Spend your 4th of July weekend with live music by Uncommon Denominator, food, drinks, and your community at The bEAT Concert.

We're pairing this party with an opportunity to give back to our community! Introducing "Stuff the Truck" – our mission to collect food donations for those in need. Whether it's a small can or a hefty bag of goodies, every contribution counts! For each pound of food donated, our amazing, exclusive sponsor will generously donate $1! Let's make a difference together!

Huge shoutout to our incredible sponsors: Studio MLM, Bills, Andersen, State Farm, 3M, and Keyes!

Farmers Feed Dunn County

Did you know about our exciting program called Farmer's Feed Dunn County? Thanks to the generosity of local farmers, we're able to stock our pantry with fresh, local produce. In 2023 alone, these dedicated farmers contributed a staggering 47,000 pounds of nutritious fruits and vegetables!

Are you a farmer looking to get involved? Contact our coordinator, Mike, at m.racette@steppingstonesdc.org.

Do you have a home garden with an overabundance of fresh produce? Step up and donate to the pantry! We accept donations Monday - Friday 8 am - 4 pm.

Introducing Brit: Community Connections Manager

Coretta Scott King once said, "The greatness of a community is most accurately measured by the compassionate actions of its members."

"The community that surrounds Stepping Stones has welcomed me since October 2023, when I began working at Cairn House as a Supervisor and Case Manager. I am deeply passionate about connecting community members with the resources they need to thrive, which is why I am proud to represent Stepping Stones as the new Community Connections Manager". - Brit

Project SAM Bag Re-Cap

Project SAM is a vital initiative designed to support children during the school year by ensuring they receive weekend meals. During the 2023-2024 school year, we packed and distributed 19,392 SAM Bags. These children benefited from nutritious meals provided outside of regular school hours. This effort aims to address food insecurity among school-age children, ensuring they have access to consistent meals even when not in school. Project SAM not only meets a basic need but also contributes to the well-being and academic success of participating students.

Of course, this wouldn't be possible without donations from our amazing community members and volunteer hours put in to pack up the meals. Looking to get involved for the upcoming school year? You can sign up to volunteer or submit a donation here.
