As of January 2019 The North Georgia Glee choir will move from Ms Ashley to under the umbrella of Global Dance Theatre’s select programming, and operate under their guidance and direction. Ashley will still be involved, but we are very excited to have Mr. Aaron Davidson take over as our Artistic Director. Aaron is a multi talented musician and lead choreographer with both classical education and renowned performance experience to bring to the class. Classes will be Monday 6:45pm to 7:30pm and Thursdays 5pm to 6pm.
We are adding additional Ballet,Tap and Stretch & Strengthen classes - A tweaked schedule will follow soon!
Don't forget camp this Thursday and Friday!
This Saturday - There will be no Acting class and no Jazz... stay tuned for Contemporary, Hip-Hop, African and Tap;-)
A new Year always makes room for some tweaks and changes:
In order to be extra sure that Global Dance remains a safe space for the girls and minimize any disruption emotionally or physically, we are instituting additional security checks for the parents as well as waivers that may help prevent undesirable behavior in front of the girls. Heads up!
We are re-vamping the Global Dance name to include more of what we do! Nothing major but it will make for a cool surprise in the next year ;-)
End of Year Performing Arts Progress demonstrations: Most Studios have recitals at the end of the school year, but we are not a regular Dance Studio! Our girls will be doing progress demonstrations for parents at the end of April and beginning of May. Why? We want to see how far they have come in meeting the core values and goals of their art and leadership, which will then be rewarded at our annual awards ceremony!
