Early Voting in Uniform Election Begins Tomorrow!
Election includes local, non-partisan races such as city officials, MUD districts, school boards, and the county appraisal board.
Conservatives made great strides in the Texas Primary Election, but many voters are unaware that Early Voting in a key local election begins tomorrow. The Uniform Election is when local political subdivisions, such as cities, school districts, and water districts, have their regular general elections for members of their governing bodies.
Local boards and councils decide how much tax to collect and how that money will be spent. School districts decide what your children and grandchildren will be taught or exposed to in the school setting. Some Municipal Utility District (MUD) boards are stacked with representation from big development companies and have little or no citizen representation.
Meanwhile, the Texas Democrat Party's Project LIFT is focused on getting candidates elected in these local, non-partisan races so they can "govern in a way that promotes Democratic Party values."
This is typically a low-turnout election, so your individual vote can make a big impact on the election results. By heading to the polls, you can influence the direction of Montgomery County! We encourage you to choose a day to vote and add it to your calendar today so you can help elect Conservative Republicans to these important local offices.

New County Appraisal District Board Elections
The May 4th Uniform Election will be voters' first opportunity to elect representatives to the Montgomery County Appraisal District Board of Directors. Until now, the board consisted of the county tax assessor-collector and five other members appointed by the taxing units that participate in the district in the manner prescribed by Section 6.03 of the Tax Code. This will be the first time voters will have a direct voice in selecting representatives to advocate for them on the board.

More About MUD Elections
Some voters will have the opportunity to vote in Municipal Utility District (MUD) board elections during the May 4th Uniform Election. MUDs are taxing entities with notoriously low turn-out elections. Your vote could be the deciding factor in who is making decisions on your behalf!
Many MUD elections are conducted by the individual MUD district instead of Montgomery County Elections; therefore, they will not be included on your Uniform Election ballot. If you are in a MUD district but don't see a MUD board race listed on your personal sample ballot, it is very important to contact your MUD directly to make sure you don't miss out on electing your MUD board representatives.

On May 28, Montgomery County will decide whether incumbent Sheriff Rand Henderson or challenger, Captain Wesley Doolittle, will be the Sheriff of Montgomery County for the next four years. Early voting will be held May 20-24.
Several concerning claims have been made on the campaign trail regarding 911 statistics, crime statistics, and other important issues. Welcome New Precinct Chairs!
Justice Jay Wright swore in four Precinct Chairs at the April County Executive Committee (CEC) meeting (from left to right):
-
Precinct 106 Chair, Lonna Horde (Montgomery)
-
Precinct 80 Chair, Richard VonRoble (Spring)
-
Precinct 73 Chair, Rik Van den Berg (Conroe)
-
Precinct 108 Chair, Graham Church (Conroe)
Lonna Hord explained that she ran for Precinct Chair because she wanted to increase conservative voter turnout in Montgomery County. "I was concerned Montgomery County was turning blue, so I got involved."
Richard VonRoble said that his favorite thing so far about becoming a Precinct Chair is "learning that there are so many people like us who put God, Family, and Country first. Now we have to put that in practice to save our Country from the bottom up."
Congratulations to each of these amazing individuals and thank you to all of our Precinct Chairs for your hard work defending our freedoms!

Copier-Gate: Incompetence or Malice?
A collection agency is threatening litigation against the local Republican Party to enforce the terms of Chairman Bryan Christ’s breached copier contract.
Chairman Christ has been served notice at his place of residence that the copier company is seeking to collect the money for the lease, but according to the collection agency, Chairman Christ is not responding.
Although Chairman Christ claims he does not have the funds to fulfill his obligations under the copier lease, Texas Ethics Commission (TEC) reports indicate otherwise.

Montgomery County Adopts Citizen Review Policy for Public Library Books
Montgomery County has a new public library book Reconsideration Policy that provides citizens the opportunity to have more input in what is appropriate for children and young adults. Previously, librarians were provided no oversight and presumably made content decisions based on their own personal views.
Conservatives attended the March 26th Commissioners Court wearing red shirts to show support for the new policy, presented by County Judge Mark Keough and Commissioner Robert Walker. Commissioner James Noack was not present and Commissioner Riley was the only "no" vote.

Conroe ISD Refuses to Remove Book Supporting Gender Fluidity in Children
On April 16, Conservatives attended the Conroe ISD Board of Trustees Meeting in droves to show that the community does not agree with allowing books that normalize gender affirming surgeries and hormone blockers for minors. In question was the book, Lily and Dunkin, by Donna Gephart. This book currently is available to 7th through 12th graders in CISD school libraries.
Twenty-three community members testified to a standing-room-only crowd for removal of the book from CISD school libraries, including two courageous detransitioners who explained the harmful side effects they are facing. Trustee Theresa Wagaman left the board meeting during a break just before the hearing, leaving six participating board members. The final vote was tied at 3 for removal and 3 against, resulting in no action taken, meaning that the book will remain in CISD libraries.
