President's Message

Hello RSFbpw Ladies,

It's hard to believe that it is time to say Goodbye to Summer and say Hello to Fall especially with all the beautiful, sunny San Diego weather we are currently having.

I am welcoming the structure and routine back into my life now that the kiddos are back in school. This time of year reminds me to revisit my progress and goals that I set in the beginning of the year. Are they still attainable? If yes, what do I need to do the next few months to reach them? If not, then how can I change them to still feel good about the year and focus on what is important? What obstacles did I encounter and how did it change the path that I had set? Since the new year will be here before I know it is important to reflect, pivot and finish the year strong!

I want to say how truly grateful I am to have so many brilliant and strong women in my life to draw inspiration from. Thank you all for showing up for one another month after month!

Warmly,

Jill Harris

Purses With a Purpose

Purses with a Purpose!

Handbags for Healing

Our 2024 RSFbpw Charity is The Alabaster Jar. In addition to donating our Raffle Basket proceeds to the Alabaster Jar in December, we are also sponsoring a Purse Drive:

Healing Handbags! Purses with a Purpose is designed to create awareness for the victims of sex trafficking.

Members and guests have the opportunity to donate new or gently used handbags, tote bags as well as donated sundries, such as sunscreen, hand cream, face cream, lip gloss, tissues, etc.

Inside the purses, the Alabaster Jar Project will also place resource information so any women who may be a victim of sex trafficking and wants help, can reach out and get help.

We'd love for you to donate a new or used small purse, handbag or tote, during our meetings this year. By tugging on your own heartstrings your gently worn or never used purse can save a victim of sex trafficking in San Diego County.

Shout-Outs and Testimonials

We may run out of time at our meetings to share our testimonials for each other's services, products, and community announcements. We encourage you to write your praise and mail an email or note to the member who you want to applaud. Send your friends a special email sharing your testimonial about the member you are highlighting. Post your Shout-Out on our RSFBPW Facebook page and on your own FB page.

We offer Shout-outs and testimonial time at the end of many of our meetings, however it depends on the time left after our speaker has concluded their presentation. We do not offer testimonial time at our November and December meetings because of the length of the program. We encourage you to pass out your information, flyers, handouts and community announcements during the open networking time which is between 11:15 a.m. and 11:45 a.m.

You may also want to use your 20 second commercial time during the meeting to share your business event or announcement with the group and invite interested members to pick up a flyer with more details in the back of the room. Thanks for cheerfully working with us!
