President's Message

Hello RSFBPW Ladies and Guests:

As we celebrate Women’s Week in March, a time dedicated to recognizing the vital role of women in our world, I am inspired to reflect on the extraordinary contributions of several remarkable women. Each, in her unique way, has paved paths, broken barriers, and illuminated our journey towards equality, empowerment, and change. This month, let's draw inspiration from their stories, their resilience, and their unwavering commitment to making a difference.

From Harriet Tubman’s brave journeys on the Underground Railroad, symbolizing the fight for freedom and justice, to Malala Yousafzai’s courageous advocacy for girls’ education against all odds, these women exemplify the strength and spirit of female leadership. Clara Barton founded our American Red Cross, while Jacinda Ardern, 40th Prime Minister in New Zealand managed the Pandemic with empathetic and decisive governance. These women, like us, remind us of the diverse arenas in which we can and do excel.

A quote that resonates with me during for our women entrepreneurs, from Ruth Bader Ginsburg, says “Women belong in all places where decisions are being made. It shouldn’t be that women are the exception.” Ginsburg captures the core of our celebration of women everywhere - as leaders, as entrepreneurs, as volunteers, as influencers and in every field where we choose to make our mark.

These famous women have shown us that with determination, courage, and solidarity, there are no limits to what we can achieve. Their lives and legacies are testaments to the power of female influence and the importance of how we all make a difference.

Let's use these stories to inspire us to dream bigger, reach higher, and stand stronger together. Let's honor their legacies by continuing to push for progress, by being leaders in our network, companies, our communities, and by supporting one another in each of our endeavors to make that difference.

Remember, our March Meeting starts at 11:00 AM so you can network for 45 minutes before we start our lunch and formal meeting. As a member you can donate a raffle basket for our 2024 Charity and that entitles you to have 60 seconds for your commercial. The proceeds from our raffle basket will be donated to our 2024 Charity at the end of the year.

I can't wait to see you in March. Oh.... if you want, wear a shamrock or green at our meeting!

Shout-Outs and Testimonials

We may run out of time at our meetings to share our testimonials for each other's services, products, and community announcements. We encourage you to write your praise and mail an email or note to the member who you want to applaud. Send your friends a special email sharing your testimonial about the member you are highlighting. Post your Shout-Out on our RSFBPW Facebook page and on your own FB page.

We offer Shout-outs and testimonial time at the end of many of our meetings, however it depends on the time left after our speaker has concluded their presentation. We encourage you to pass out your information, flyers, handouts and community announcements during the open networking time which is between 11:15 a.m. and 11:45 a.m.

You may also want to use your 20 second commercial time during the meeting to share your business event or announcement with the group and invite interested members to pick up a flyer with more details in the back of the room. Thanks for cheerfully working with us!
