New Homeschool and After School Kids Art Classes

ART FOR THE BUDDING NATURALIST PROGRAM

WITH JENNIFER SANTA MARIA

These nature-themed art classes will foster an enthusiasm and sense of wonder for the natural world while building observational skills and confidence using a variety of media.  Art-making processes include drawing, watercolor painting, scratchboard, Mixed Media and hand building . While developing foundational skills in the arts, we will look to insects, the seasons, fluorescent rocks, fossils, flora and fauna for inspiration. Your child will always have something exciting to share after class. Led by art and special educator, Jenny Santa Maria, with resources and materials on loan from Insectropolis, in Toms River and Jenkinson's Aquarium in Point Pleasant Beach.

This course will have three time slots to choose from.

Monday time slots are designed for homeschool children.

Tuesdays afterschool time slot open to all ages 6-10

Mondays 10am - 12:30pm Sept 9- Nov 11 Morning Session Ages 8 -12

Mondays 1pm - 3:30pm Sept 9- Nov 11 Afternoon Session Ages 8 -12

Tuesday 4pm - 6pm Oct 10 - Dec 3  Afterschool Session Ages 6-10

Colorest students receive a 20% discount on materials where applicable.

PAINTING CLASSES WITH MARK SAENGER AUGUST SESSION

Thursdays 10am - 12pm August 1 - August 29 , 2024

PAINTING CLASSES in oil or acrylics focusing on landscape, still life and other subjects based off of each students interest.

These classes will be open to ALL Levels

 How to get that “Magical Look” & Feel into your work,  The Use of Photos, Composition, Value, Color, Edges, Atmosphere.

Mark will use a combination of Lecture, Demos & One-on-One Personal Instruction. 

Students who participate in these series of classes will explore the subjects listed above in depth, while working on  personal paintings & Group projects .

5 week 2 hour course $160.00 plus materials
