Offline Presence
Seems like all we hear these days are "I need Social Media, Facebook Ads, Google Ads, etc. for my business." These are great ways to reach your target market, and we love creating and implementing these campaigns, but don't forget your offline presence!
Brand Partnerships:
Partner with a company that is not your competition, but has the same target market, to help advertise your name and/or promotion. For example, we had a photographer place her work inside the waiting room at a pediatrician's office. In return, we placed brochures and information at her studio, where she specializes in children's portraits. It has been an excellent partnership for both.
Word-Of-Mouth:
Invite your regulars to a special event or exclusive sale. Go through your database and pick your top 25% of customers and send them a personalized invitation to shop. Have them bring a friend, and they can save as well.
Print Collateral:
Your brand is your identity. KEEP YOUR PRINT COLLATERAL CONSISTENT. If there is one tip you take away from today, it is this. Print collateral has a much longer shelf life than a social media ad. The more people see the same look and feel, the better they will retain your identity.
Editorial Features:
Reach out to reporters, industry bloggers, magazines, weekly and neighborhood publications for free PR. Anytime something happens like a new hire, new product, expansion, etc. send a press release to these contacts. But first, create your contact list by saving articles from those who wrote similar articles about your competition.
