Business Reviews
Do you read reviews when researching a local company for a product or service? Well, according to the
2018 BrightLocal Consumer Review Survey,
86% of consumers read reviews for local businesses, including 95% of people aged 18-34!
Almost 9 out of 10 people who are your prospects or clients are checking out what others have to say about you to form an opinion. Reviews on Google, Facebook, Yelp and others have taken the place of the Better Business Bureau.
What happens after someone reads a review about your company? According to the 2018 survey:
50% Visit your website
19% Search for more reviews
15% Visit the location
13% Contact the business
10% Continue searching other businesses
So, the marketing tips here are to make sure you have reviews on multiple sites and your website is easy to find. First, make sure you respond to negative and positive reviews if possible. Secondly, be sure the information your prospects need, for them take the next step in the sales process, is readily available on your website.
We are going to embrace this and start working on our positive reviews. If you have had a pleasurable experience working with us at My Marketing Department, Inc, please take a few minutes and write us a review on as many of these review sites as you can. Thank you in advance for taking the time to help us grow.
And of course, if we have not given you 5-Star service, please contact me directly so we may have the chance to earn a higher rating.
Thank you again for your time and assistance,
