BRIEF UPDATE CONCERNING THE FUNDRAISING For "2024 EASTER WEEKEND CELEBRATION" @ Meramec Caverns; SATURDAY MARCH 30th @ 6:00pm & SUNDAY MARCH 31st @ 6:30am / A Special Edition LesterGram was sent last Thursday asking for your help as we raise finances for these very important Easter Services.

AMOUNT RECEIVED AS OF TODAY...The Total Amount Needed this year is approximately $8,335 and we are EXTREMELY EXCITED to report that the Total Amount Received Thus Far is $5,435.

Following is a list of expenses (the need & cost) to host this event:

• Supply Food for 40-50 Cast Members: $1,300 (for 2 days) PTL! Received

• Lodging for Cast: $2,300 (for 2 nights)

• Special Lighting Equipment: $800 $600 (Additional Trusses $500; TV Screen Mounting Brackets for Video Presentation $200 PTL! Received; Miscellaneous $100)

• Rental Expenses: $2,985 (Chairs $1,300; Stages $1,000; Lift $685) PTL! Received.

• Miscellaneous Expenses: $950 (Supplies, Plants, Security Guards, Etc.) PTL! Already Received.

THE WEEKEND REPORT

We’re having a great tour here in Florida, and last Wednesday we celebrated a birthday for a certain young lady…HAPPY 6th BIRTHDAY “JOSIE MARIE LESTER;” 🎈🎂🎈🎂. JoJo’s birthday was actually on Friday February 9th, but we were doing a concert that night so we had an early “birthday party!”

LEESBURG, FL, Friday February 9th…The Lesters want to thank Joe MacDonald for hosting us at the downtown campus of First Baptist Church for an evening concert. We first worked for Joe when he lived in Sandwich, IL, but is now living in much warmer Florida; 😃! He and his wife are in charge of Senior Adult ministries at the church and we’re so appreciative they included us in one of their events. First Baptist of Leesburg, FL, is a huge complex with several locations across the region, and they have a tremendous outreach for ministry. We had a wonderful evening and plans are already under way to return next year.

VERO BEACH, FL, Saturday February 10th…Our next stop was with our dear friend Pastor Randy Fullerton @ Glendale Baptist Church in Vero Beach, FL, for a Saturday evening concert. For several years Randy was Senior Pastor of Fee Fee Baptist Church in Bridgeton, MO, where we had the privilege to be with many times. He and his wife moved a few years ago to this area of Florida where he is not only pastor of a great church, but also administrator of a Christian School. God has blessed them tremendously since we were with them last year with a different facility that is absolutely amazing. To hear his testimony of how it all came about is nothing short of a “Miracle of God;” PTL! It was a wonderful evening and we look forward to being back next year.

LAKE PLACID, FL, Sunday Morning February 11th…This was our second year to do a concert for the folks at Camp Florida in Lake Placid, which was a private event for their community. Special Thanks to our good friend Marty Moreland (The Singing Bus Driver), for arranging the event. It was an AWESOME MORNING!

SPECIAL THANKS TO MARTY & RUTH ANNE MORELAND…After the morning concert we were invited to Marty & Ruth Anne’s home for lunch & fellowship. Marty has been a vital part of gospel music ministry for many years, having his own group The Singing Disciples. But he has also been a huge part of The Lesters' ministry driving our bus thousands of miles to take us to “Carry The Message,” and we appreciate & Love him soooo much. Thank You Ruth Anne for letting Marty “come out and play;” 😂!

SEBRING, FL, Sunday Evening February 11th…We presented our annual concert for our friends at First Baptist Church of Lake Josephine, where we always have a wonderful time. This is the church Marty & Ruth Ann attend while down in Florida, and we are blessed having the opportunity to share an evening of gospel music with these wonderful folks. We also want to thank Pastor Steven Ahrens, and Mike Zierden (Minister of Music), for once again including The Lesters as part of their concert series.

VERO BEACH, FL, Monday February 12th…Our concert schedule continued last night as we were back in Vero Beach, FL, with good friends David & Tamra Lewis and their daughter Angela. They were the first to bring The Lesters to Vero Beach nearly 20 years ago; WOW, time really flies when you’re having Fun, 😀. David & Tamra are pastors of Living Water Fellowship of Vero Beach, and they hold special services from time to time at the Lakewood Village Clubhouse; that is where the concert was held last night and it was exciting to see a great crowd attending. It was a wonderful evening and we’ve already begun the process to set a date for 2025.
