Next metaphysical service is Sunday, November 1, at 10am
Our special guest homilist will be Lori Solensten and Renee Ranke will be our emcee.
Lori's homily will be “Blue Moon at Summer's End: Holding Light as We Move into Darkness and Uncertainty”
Stay tuned to next week's newsletter for Zoom link!!
For thousands of years, the midpoint between the Autumn Equinox and Winter Solstice has been honored and recognized as both the time "between years" and "between worlds", and in the turning of the wheel it is also the darkest time. The Celtic earth spirituality calls this Samhain, which translates as "Summer's End". Over time, other names and holidays have emerged and been "assigned" to this midpoint including All Souls Day, All Saints Day, All Hallows Eve and Halloween. This year, 2020, we find both the second full moon of the month (called a blue moon) and the end of Mercury Retrograde falling at this sacred time. Added to that, we find ourselves in the midst of a still global pandemic and a highly charged presidential election in the United States.
In the service at ISD on Sunday, November 1, Lori Solensten will be speaking about this unique time we are passing through, its ancient roots and how we can honor and learn from our ancestors as to keep our balance and gratitude through the next few weeks.

Got Bottles & Cans to return?
ISD has a CLYNK account at Hannaford in Oneonta.
How can I help?
Go to the Lotus Center, 41-45 Dietz St., and even if the door is locked, you will see stickers in the plastic flyer display holder on the wall to the LEFT of the Door, under the prayer flags.
Take one to put on each bag that you are bringing to Hannaford- Ask someone there where the bags go. With that correct tag on it, the bottle deposit money goes directly into the ISD Oneonta Account.
Thank you to all who have brought in your 5 cent returnables for us to return, and to Connie Lull for delivering to Hannaford.
We have built up about $160 for ISD just from returning our cans!
Thank you!

A note from Rev. Diana
Members and Friends:
Wanna Reach out to friends in your church family?
