Winter Solstice

The winter solstice, or hibernal solstice, marks the point at which the sun's path is farthest south. The sun travels on the shortest path through the sky, showing us the day with the shortest amount of sunlight, and the longest night. This year it will occur on December 21/22. The winter solstice marks a time of slowing down and spending time with loved ones, rest, and rebirth. Photo: Alexa Flower January 2022
