BALLROOM BUZZ December 30, 2019

Out for 2019; in with 2020 Saturday night we danced at the Myrtle Beach Moose Lodge and had a champagne toast to say goodbye to 2019. Thursday we will be together again to celebrate a New Year of dancing in 2020. As you reflect on 2019 think about who you met and became friends with through dance and wonder who you will know next year that you don't know today. The social benefits of dancing are great. And to reap the physical benefits, you can burn more of your holiday calories by joining us this Thursday at St. John's Hall for more dancing! Jason Raimey will be continuing our lesson on Waltz and how to do a Waltz mixer.

Welcome Sandy and Al Lewis!

Sandy and Al Lewis are our newest transplants from Connecticut. Sandy and Al love to dance and scuba dive. They attended some of our dances last winter while vacationing here and now they are BDPS members. Please introduce yourselves and welcome them to our dance community when you see them at St. John's Hall on Thursday.

FREE DANCE LESSONS AT THE BRUNSWICK SENIOR RESOURCE CENTER IN CALABASH: BDPS sponsors lessons every Monday afternoon. The lessons are free but the Center in Calabash is a non-profit and they appreciate your contributions so they can continue to provide quality activities such as our ballroom classes. There are collection boxes throughout the center. The intermediate class is held at 1 pm. If you have danced some ballroom before and want to learn more, feel free to join this free class. If you are a beginner, you should come at 2 pm. for the beginner class. The center is located at 10050 Beach Drive in Calabash. There will be class on December 30th. Instructor Jim Sterner will be teaching. Sal will return for the January 6th class. January will be Cha-Cha month!
