Bringing Smiles to Seniors
Community Comfort
Therapy teams make regular Zoom visits to YourLife of Coconut Creek Memory Care. We tell senior residents about our therapy dogs, show tricks and engage with them, sometimes talking about pets they might have had.

As part of our new programs during COVID, PawPal letters are shared with the seniors "from" therapy dogs, and hand-painted kindness rocks with inspirational messages are left behind as a memento for seniors to keep and enjoy.

Positive feedback from YourLife has been tremendous, and we're so glad we're making a difference in the lives of isolated seniors. Next up will be a holiday parade planned for them in December.
Canine Care-avans a Huge Success
From Wags to Witches
SOS Children's Village
Quantum House
John Knox Village
Sharing some of their best pet tricks, October's bevvy of Halloween-themed pet parades (Canine CARE-avans) were a real treat for many across South Florida.

Volunteer therapy teams showed up in style with decorated vehicles and costumed people and pets alike. The many miles of smiles included visits at SOS Children's Village, Quantum House, JM Family Center, John Knox Village and Aveanna Healthcare's Pediatric Center.

With your help and support, we hope to continue providing these much needed services!

COVID Canine Champions
Making Impact
It's been a "ruff" year, but sometimes all that's needed to lift the human spirit is a dog and a little love.

Canine Assisted Therapy pairs therapy dogs to the people who need them most, providing therapeutic interactions through the power of the human-animal bond.

For those battling loss, illness, trauma or unforeseen hardships, the holidays can be a lonely time. One of the most important things you can do is let people know they are not alone.

Due to COVID, many individuals have been isolated and withdrawn which can make someone feel like their humanity has been stolen.

YOU can give back a little of that humanity.

Will you join our pack to help the community during this pandemic?

Give the gift of joy and hope to pediatric patients, dispirited seniors, at-risk youth in foster care, veterans, victims in recovery, and many other deserving individuals.

Join our pack and be a part of providing window visits, socially distanced visits, canine car parades and virtual visits to comfort the vulnerable and help the community recover.

Community Partnerships & Events
Canine Assisted Therapy Hosts BizPerks
Canine Assisted Therapy enjoyed being the October host of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber's monthly BizPerks East meeting. C.A.T. staff (and volunteer therapy dog Rosie) greeted members and had the chance to share a presentation about our organization and the great works it provides in Broward. One lucky member won the raffle prize to have a TeleDog join their next virtual event.
Broward Health Pumpkin Patch
Our friends at Broward Health invited us to take part in the Broward Health Medical Center/Salah Foundation Children’s Hospital’s Drive Thru Pumpkin Patch for South Florida families.

Car lines were blocks long in each location, with lots of fun music and characters adding to the festive atmosphere.

Therapy teams were on hand at the Coral Springs and Fort Lauderdale Pumpkin Patch locations to join in the fun!
