Don't Forget About This Weekend's
Special Anniversary Celebration!

|
Colonial Heights Presbyterian Church is excited to celebrate our 75th anniversary with a special worship service and evening bible study with the Rev. Dr. Anna Carter Florence! Dr. Carter Florence is the Peter Marshall Professor of Preaching at Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, Georgia. She is a nationally known Presbyterian preacher who is passionate about creative strategies for communities to engage and encounter the biblical text.
We are delighted to welcome Dr. Carter Florence to lead us in worship on Sunday, January 15 as we give thanks for all God has done throughout the history of this congregation. Join us for worship at 10am and stay for the celebration lunch directly afterwards.
Dr. Carter Florence will facilitate a special discussion about the book of Jonah at 5pm in the gym, guiding us through questions like: What does God have to share with us today in this treasured story that will impact our shared ministry in the years to come? All are welcome to participate in this amazing study opportunity as we engage scripture as a community, giving thanks to God for our shared past and looking forward to what God is doing in our future!

All are welcome to share the Peace of Christ with coffee and fellowship before worship beginning at 9:30 in the Parlor. Hope to see you there!

Special thanks to Guy Ream, KC Savage, Doris Fields, Rachel Gray, Chris Broadhead, and Lisa Mahon for for accepting Christ's call to love and serve!
Please hold this group and the entire session in your prayers
as they seek to faithfully follow where God's Spirit leads.
