Cranberry Beans
Our organic cranberry beans are grown in Basin City, WA by Shane Christensen, owner of Brawny Inc. Farm. They're cleaned and bagged in Royal City, WA.

These beautiful beans are ivory in color, with red speckles throughout. They are high in protein, folic acid, iron, magnesium, calcium, potassium and vitamin B6.

Cranberry beans are traditionally used in Italian, Spanish and Portuguese cuisine. They have an appealing sweet, mild flavor and are a hearty addition to soup, salads, pasta dishes, and casseroles.

Cooking Directions: Rinse and sort through beans; soak overnight in cold water. Drain and cover with water by 4 inches. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to simmer and begin checking for softness at 15-20 minutes.

Now at a new low price of $2.40/lb. Come get some and make that warm chili to get you through these cold days.

Hello, Whatcom Red
Say hello to Whatcom Red, a raspberry smoothie that Grace Harbor has started making - and we've started carrying in the store. They sent us samples - and gauging from the staff response, we decided to bring it in.

Local: all the raspberries come from Jon and Bree Maberry's farm in Custer, WA.

Natural: no artificial flavors or thickeners.

Ingredients: whole raspberries that are pureed, and seeds removed. Pear juice for tartness and a little water to thin it out and make this the best non-dairy, drinkable smoothie on the planet.

Non-dairy, gluten-free, simple ingredients.

Our next delivery is expected on Wednesday, Jan. 22nd.
Bergamota and more
Bergamota is back!
From one of the very few female winemakers in Portugal, who makes beautiful, evocative, subtle wines from many of Portugal's sub-regions. The red wines of the Dao are often powerful, intense wines, overflowing with flavors of chocolate and plums. This is a lighter, more refined take on that opulent base, with black plums, dark fruit and layers of earl gray tea, for which it is named, violet petals, tangerine peel and earth, with fine tannins and just right acidity.

Perrin Famile Nature 2018 Cotes du Rhone
From one of the foremost organic producers in the south of France, this classic Cotes du Rhone has big, dark dried fruit, herbs, straw, lovely dark flowers on a base of firm fine tannins with a medium body. Robust and slightly rustic, this is a great wine to have with hearty winter fare.

Lone Birch 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Yakima Valley
Dark fruit, with notes of cassis and black cherries, rich mouthfeel and medium firm tannins. Sustainable.

Aslan Evil IPA
MEDIUM BODY + DANK + EVIL EVIL Bikes, Lib Tech, Travis Rice, Graham Aggasiz & the most shreddable dankness all in one can. Hopped exclusively and judiciously with fresh off the line Amarillo and El Dorado. Extra sticky resin, ripe melon, bright pine, super lime finish. Over the top? Maybe, but that's what you asked for, isn't it? 95% Organic, 100% EVIL.  Limited release, there isn't much of this around and there won't be more once we run out.
