Join Us! Dina Good will be our guest artist.
Members are welcome to Zoom the March 3 VAST meeting which will start at 6:45pm on Wednesday.
Dina Good, a member of VAST, takes us on a technological tour by presenting information on social media for artists and information on the world of digital art.
Good is a self-taught artist that is proficient in many different forms of media, from miniature art to full scale murals. She loves creating artwork that can convey different emotion depending on the perspective of the viewer. Communicating a captured feeling on canvas, Dina feels contemporary art allows her to best express herself. She feels abstract art is liberating and allows creativity without constraints or rules. Drawn to the extreme scale of art and paintings, she stated “while I love to paint big and bold pictures, I hold a deep love for my miniature paintings. While my canvas paintings are like a whole conversation, my miniature art is just a quiet whisper. Abstract art has become a liberating medium for me by allowing me to expand my creativity without any constraints or rules."

Workshop Description: To watercolor artists of all levels, applying color with confident and intuitive brushwork is a critical foundation as well as ongoing exploration. In the three-day workshop, artists will explore this subject in both landscape and portrait painting. The goal is to help each individual build their own approaches to brushwork that make paint flow lively. There will be focused exercises, demos, critiques, and work sessions.
Bio: Born in China, Stephen Zhang graduated from Luxun Academy of Fine Arts and later received his MFA from UNT. Stephen has been painting in watercolor for over 30 years under the tutelage of his father Defu Zhang and the late Professor Rob Erdle.
Stephen’s work has been awarded by Signature American Watermedia International Exhibition, Watermedia Showcase, Watercolor USA, Transparent Watercolor Society of America, Watercolor West, Splash, Art Olympia (Japan), and Chinese National Art Exhibition. He has been featured in American Art Collector, International.

Your copy should address 3 key questions: Who am I writing for? (Audience) Why should they care? (Benefit) What do I want them to do here? (Call-to-Action)
Create a great offer by adding words like "free" "personalized" "complimentary" or "customized." A sense of urgency often helps readers take an action, so think about inserting phrases like "for a limited time only" or "only 7 remaining!"
