Celebrating Pride Month
Health Equity for All

The medical community has made significant strides in becoming more inclusive for LGBTQ patients (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and/or Queer), but there is still work to be done. 56% of LGBTQ people report experiencing some sort of healthcare discrimination. More than 50% of transgender people report a lack of provider knowledge, and LGBTQ people of color are 2X more likely to avoid seeking a doctor compared to white LGBTQ people (Quality Interactions). This month, and every month, we join our partners in advocating for health equity for all who make DuPage an exceptional place to live, work, and care for our families. We invite you to join us as we celebrate pride month and consider how we can ensure that our policies and language reflect our values and beliefs.

WOW!

DHC was extremely grateful to recently receive a generous $100,000 gift from an anonymous community benefactor. We are appreciative of this award, and the healthcare it will provide for so many of our neighbors. Together we are making DuPage a healthier community one family at a time, thanks to the support of many volunteers and funders both.
An easy way to help!

DHC is excited to be participating in the myWalgreens donation program again this year! If you or your family shops at Walgreens, you can donate your myWalgreens cash rewards (1% of your past or future purchases) to us thru August 31st. Whether you’d like to contribute $1, $5, or more of your Walgreens Cash rewards you’ll be making a big difference. It really adds up!
