New York Public Library: 31 Books for Women's History Month
A retelling of Greek myth. A memoir from a former First Lady. Gripping multigenerational family sagas. Thoughtful explorations of personal identity. No matter what you're interested in, something in this list of works from women authors will click. Celebrate Women's History Month with these recent books by and about women.

In honor of Women's History Month, Social Justice books is featuring a children's book each day to highlight grassroots women's history in the United States. This curated collection features an overview of each book, links to expanded details, time periods, themes, teaching materials, and an extensive list of related resources.

- ABOUT WOMEN'S HISTORY MONTH -

The Library of Congress hosts a fantastic site commemorating March as Women's History Month, filled with a compilation of resources from: Nat'l Endowment for the Humanities, Nat'l Archives, Nat'l Park Service, Smithsonian Education, the US Holocaust Memorial Museum, and the Library of Congress' comprehensive inventory of public laws, Presidential proclamations and congressional resolutions related to Women's History Month.

Join us for one or both days of IEFA learning with award-winning educators Jordann Lankford-Forster (Bright Trail Woman) and Miranda Murray.

The Flathead Valley IEFA Institute will provide foundational information concerning the seven “Essential Understandings Regarding Montana Indians” and tools to implement Indigenous content into your curriculum. Participants may not feel comfortable or know where to begin, and that is OK. The facilitators will provide you with the support and sustainable resources to advance cultural content and Native resources in your classrooms, no matter where you are in your IEFA implementation. Participants will gain instruction and crucial essential understandings as diverse perspectives are important for all students’ success.

COST: $20 per Participant per Day | Register for one or both days

MSU SCIENCE MATH RESOURCE CENTER (SMRC) SPRING RESEARCH IN ACTION WORKSHOP SERIES

Featuring: Dr. Bree Cummins, Assistant Research Professor in the Dept. of Mathematical Sciences at MSU

Dr. Cummins has an extensive history in many areas of mathematical biology, and her current research interests include modeling the genetic control of cellular processes, modeling social processes related to disease spread, and most recently, using artificial intelligence to understand complex biological systems.
