The event celebrated the 19th Annual Literary Competition, highlighting the best in short stories and poetry from across the Southeast United States; and the 11th Annual Youth Literary Competition, highlighting the best in short stories and poetry by students enrolled in K-12 programs from across York County, SC.

Prizes and awards for the Annual Literary Competition are underwritten by the Perihelion Club and Evelyn Eick-Quinones, and those who place in the competition have the opportunity to have their winning works placed in the Cotton Alley Writers’ Review, an online literary magazine published annually by the Arts Council of York County.
