ICDC Attractions

As your DECA chapter heads to Anaheim for ICDC, DECA Inc. is here to make your experience as easy as possible! DECA is coordinating a package of attraction ticket offerings with these benefits:

  1. Purchase and pick up your tickets to multiple parks in one transaction
  2. Take advantage of significant savings from gate prices
  3. Pay DECA directly as your one vendor
  4. Get access to exclusive tickets not available to the general public or available at the gate
  5. With reservations required at Disneyland parks, DECA has booked a significant number of tickets in advance.

Advisors will be able to see the option in the DECA Online Membership System to purchase ICDC Attraction Tickets only once the WA DECA SCDC conference begins.

The deadline to pre-order tickets, if still available, is April 3 at 4:00 p.m. ET. Any remaining tickets will be available on-site while quantities remain. Payment must be received at DECA by April 15.

Please note: The distance from Anaheim to Universal Studios is long! Add traffic into the mix and we encourage chapters to heavily consider their attraction options!

Teacher Tips

Teacher Tip:

Check out this infographic and remember, school is a student’s work. Recognition is a great motivator! Here are some ideas of how to recognize your students.

  1. Send a postcard home. This way, their parents will see it, too
  2. Set up a Student Success Wow Wall. Display some outstanding work
  3. Recognizing student achievements is not only about the final outcomes, but also about the process and the progress. You can celebrate growth and effort by acknowledging students' improvements, challenges, and persistence.
  4. Set aside time for “Peer Praise” sessions
  5. Set up a prize wheel for students with good behavior or academic achievements

You Matter

Students are putting an enormous amount of trust in you, hoping that they’ll learn something useful for their professional and personal development. You are a reference and a guide to your students. You’re doing a GREAT job. Be encouraged and continue to pass on invaluable information, but also inspiration so students become social or corporate— changemakers in society.
