Let's Go Chasing

Waterfalls

Experience the Positive Effects of Negative Ions

Waterfalls are a natural source of negative ions, which can have positive physiological effects on mood and stress levels. Imagine ions as tiny particles in the air. Some have an extra negative charge, while others have a positive charge. Negative ions are like good vibes in the air. They're found naturally near waterfalls, after rain or in the forest. Breathing them can make you feel happier and less stressed. Its like getting a boost of fresh, clean air that helps your body and mind feel better.

Massage Therapy Complements Outdoor Activities

Therapeutic massage complements outdoors activities by promoting muscle relaxation, reducing inflammation and enhancing recovery after physical exertion. Techniques such as Deep Tissue Massage or Sports Massage are excellent for targeting tension and soreness while improving flexibility or joint mobility.

🚨 WARNING: Being outdoors has been linked to improved levels of both physical and mental health.

Hiking to a waterfall is an excellent form of cardiovascular exercise that strengthens the heart, muscles and bones while burning calories and improving overall fitness. The outdoors exposes us to sunlight and all the wonders of the natural world. Taking time to go on hikes is a healthy habits that reminds me to be mindful by focusing on the present moment. I practice breathing techniques and take a time to enjoy the sounds of nature taking place next to any waterfall. It all leads to reduced levels of stress and a feeling of interconnectedness.

Both outdoor experiences and massage therapy are effective in reducing stress and promoting peace of mind. The rhythmic strokes of massage techniques stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system, triggering the release of endorphins and inducing a state of calmness.

Studies have shown that spending time in nature can also improve cognitive function, creativity and mood regulation. Together, these healthy habits promote a balanced lifestyle that nurtures both mind and body.

Meet Dr. Marcus Dunn

Ensuring access to top-quality healthcare providers is crucial for nurturing our healthy lifestyles. As a recent transplant to Charlotte, I had to do my research and unearth the crème de la crème of chiropractors. Today, I'm delighted to introduce you to this wizard of wellness.

Dr. Dunn grew up in South Charleston, West Virginia and earned a Doctor of Chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa.

Chiropractic Chose Him

Upon our first meeting, I was struck by Dr. Dunn's affable and knowledgeable demeanor, qualities essential in healthcare professionals. His ease of communication is particularly noteworthy, a trait I greatly value in medical practitioners.

Like me, he is passionate about the outdoors and loves running. Dr. Dunn has already completed 12 marathons - an achievement that is 100% inspirational!

Delivering Wellness to the World

On-Site massage treatments took us to one of Charlotte's most amazing breweries, NoDa Brewing Co. This unique space happens to be one of the few breweries we visited during our search for a new home last summer. They have a lovely outdoors area and I'm so happy to have been able to return but this time to share my healing touch. 💪🏽

Latinx Market Events

At NoDa Brewing Co. we had over 20 vendors ranging from an Argentinian bakery to extraordinary Mexican inspired drinks and Venezuelan delights. We had jewelry, coffee, apparel and so much more. I'm so happy to be able to join the efforts of this unique group of Latino/a owned small businesses in the Charlotte area.

A Community Where

Living is an Art Form

This is the Village at the Commonwealth and the place we are so happy to call home. Located in one of Charlotte's most vibrant neighborhoods, the Village is a breathtaking property with everything you need to embrace a healthy lifestyle with ease. From state-of-the-art health spa facilities, gyms and most importantly, tons of friendly neighbors.

Wellness Wednesday at the Village

Prioritizing the health of our community has been a long standing value here. Last week, corporate wellness took the form of an adorable afternoon as we inaugurate the brand new co-work amenity at the Village. Several health and wellness experts joined us in sharing their passion for healthy living. We popped champagne and Villagers lined-up to experience our on-site massage demonstrations. It was truly a wonderful event.
