Dear Families of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic School,

Today we enter the Holy Triduum. These holy days are a time of reflection, prayer, and remembrance of the events leading up to the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is a time for us to deepen our faith, contemplate the sacrifices made for us, and renew our commitment to living out the teachings of Christ in our daily lives.

As we approach Good Friday, Holy Saturday and Easter, I want to take a moment to share with you some of the ways we have observed this sacred time in our Catholic faith at our school. In classrooms, students have been learning about this most powerful week in our liturgical calendar. Students have been engaging in prayer reflections, palm-making, rosaries, service projects and Religion class discussions revolving around Christ’s Passion. Stations of the Cross are posted in the hallway and prayed in classrooms. Our schoolwide afternoon prayer is the Act of Contrition when we remember our sins and Jesus’ sacrifice to save us. On Wednesday we celebrated our school Mass and heard from Matthew’s Gospel the story of Judas’ upcoming betrayal. On Thursday, we gathered as an entire school body and prayed the Stations of the Cross. We end early today so that our families can continue to prepare for the sorrow of Good Friday and the joy of Easter! We hope you enjoy these days and we look forward to seeing our students back on campus on Wednesday, April 3rd!

Only by His Grace,

Veronica Tucker

SINGLE BID VS. AUTO-BID: A single bid can be placed as a one-time bid for any amount. An auto-bid can be placed and set at the maximum amount you are willing to spend. With auto-bid, our system will place your bid at the minimum amount needed to lead. When you are outbid, our system will automatically bid for you until your maximum is reached.

WHO WINS? When two bids are placed for the same amount, the bid placed first, based on the timestamp, wins. Timestamps are set when the initial bid is placed, for auto-bids this is when the initial maximum bid was set. TRANSLATION? If you really want an item in our silent auction, consider placing an auto-bid, and place it early!
