Donating to Israel's

War Efforts

Donating to Israel's war effort is a way to show your support for the country and its people. It is also a way to help those who have been affected by the conflict. There are many different ways to donate, and if you are so inclined, you can choose the method that is most convenient for you.

One way to donate is to give to a charity that is working on the ground in Israel. These charities are providing humanitarian aid to those who have been displaced by the conflict, as well as medical care and other support services. Some of the most reputable charities we have found include:

Friends of the IDF www.fidf.org/

Jewish Federation of Northern NJ

www. jfnnj.org/

Hatzalah (first responders) www.israelrescue.org/don

Magen David Adom mdais.org/en/donation

Zaka (clean up and recovery) give.zakaworld.org/

Thank Israeli Soldiers thankisraelisoldiers.org

One Family Fund (for victims of terror) onefamilyfund.org

You can also donate to the Israeli government directly. The government has set up a special fund to support the war effort, and you can donate online or by mail.

No matter how you choose to donate, your gift will make a difference. Your donation will help Israel to defend itself and to care for its citizens.

This Week's Torah Portion

The name of the Parshah, “Behar,” means “on Mount [Sinai]” and it is found in Leviticus 25:1.

On the mountain of SinaiG‑d communicates to Moses the laws of the Sabbatical year: every seventh year, all work on the land should cease, and its produce becomes free for the taking for all, man and beast.

Seven Sabbatical cycles are followed by a fiftieth year—the Jubilee year, on which work on the land ceases, all indentured servants are set free, and all ancestral estates in the Holy Land that have been sold revert to their original owners.

Behar also contains additional laws governing the sale of lands, and the prohibitions against fraud and usury.
