Three Purposes:

Purpose #1. Recommendation from Johnny Rumbough that LBA begin a Futuring Process for Associations (May 2024 - May 2025) with the following two details:

1) Nominating Committee's recommendation that the following seven individuals serve as LBA's Futuring Team:

1. Barry Anderson -- Rural (Pastor, Old Samaria Baptist Church)
2. Mendle Baker -- Rural (Pastor, First Calvary Baptist Church)
3. Shane Parker -- Metro (Executive Pastor, Riverland Hills Baptist Church)
4. Mark Owens -- Metro (Executive Pastor, Lexington Baptist Church)
5. Chet Andrews -- Urban (Pastor, State Street Baptist Church)
6. Blair Smith -- Suburban (Pastor, Irmo FBC)
7. Brady Henderson -- Town/Country (Pastor, Gaston FBC)

2) At conclusion of Futuring Process, the Futuring Team will transition into the Search Committee for the next Executive Director / Associational Mission Strategist position to be vacated by Rumbough's retirement.

Purpose #2. Recommendation from "FOOTSTEPS" Team to approve FOOTSTEPS Guidelines for receiving and disbursing funds (A System to Intentionally Pursue Kingdom Relationships for Advancing the Gospel in Hard, Dark Places of the World). Email with proposed Guidelines will be sent prior to the May 7th (11 am) Question & Answer Meeting.

Purpose #3. Recommendation from Administrative Team to Increase 2024 Budget by $15,800 to fund two part-time positions for the remainder of this calendar year: Part-time Financial Assistant (based on $200 per week/May-December) and Part-time Communications Assistant (based on $400 per week/August-December). Note: The proposed Leadership Strategist position (not included in this recommendation) will be presented at a later time.
