WELCOME TO THE 2024 SUMMER SEASON!

Welcome back to our old members and welcome to our club to our new members!

Ottawa TFC is proud to be part of your summer season once again.

A little recap of last summer - what have we accomplished in 2023:

  • A great turnout for our Grassroots program! Over 800 players were registered in Orleans and Gloucester for our U4 to U8 programs, as well as our Skills Centre;
  • We had to say a big thank you and good bye to Peter Humphries, who won the Service President's Award at our end year recognition gala, after volunteering for 8 years as recreational coordinator for our Open Leagues;
  • Our Competitive and Academy teams who won several tournaments in Canada and the United States;
  • The Adults leagues had a major jump in players, especially in the successful Coed league;
  • Our first Sports-Études program was launched in September 2023 with 20 student-players from École secondaire catholique Garneau joining our High Performance Program;
  • Parent Culture Month during the month of July was a great success. Our 'Parent of the Week' posts showed us how great parents are that we have in our club. From Neil Roy to Shane Forsythe to Mike Maheu and finally Mrs. Ruthine Burgins, they all demonstrate their support to their children (and grand-children) and to the club in a consistent positive manner;
  • Multiple player commitments to universities: Amelie Boyle, Danika Birch, Peyton Wynn and more. Two players who had their first kicks in our Grassroots programs are off to the National Development Centre (Teegan Melenhorst, who is currently playing on the U17 Canadian Team in 2023 CONCACAF Cup) and Elijah Roche who is continuing on the Pro Pathway by signing with the Toronto FC Academy of MLS Next);
  • The U21 Women won the Ontario Cup for a third time in a row. In doing so they became only the second U21 women’s team to repeat as champions since the inception of U21 division in 2004. Provincial Champions: Amelia Thompson, Chanelle Chaput, Emilie-Lina Ducharme, Hailey Jones, Jenea Knight, Jessica Boyle, Katie Brzozowski, Kylie Laframboise, Lauren Curran, Liana Farrell, Mack Curran, Nora Ghie, Paige Robert, Veronique Bolduc, Victoria Ufholz and Zoe Lortie.
  • Our Partners Open Golf Tournament raised over $10 000 at the Hammond Golf and Country Club.
  • And finally the results of our 2023 Recognition Awards:
  • Senior Male Coach of the Year: Brogan Engbers
  • Senior Female Coach of the Year: Jordan Lundin
  • New Coach of the Year: Emma Landry
  • Youth Female Coach of the Year: Amelie Boyle
  • Youth Male Coach of the Year: Logan Richardson
  • Competitive Coach of the Year: Ali Farahani
  • Grassroots Female Coach of the Year: Danika Birch
  • Grassroots Male Coach of the Year: Nathan Aquilina
  • Service President's Award: Peter Humphries
  • Leadership Award: Kaden Engbers

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our coaches, managers, convenors, referees, parents, and players, who make Ottawa TFC a great club. Hoping for more exciting accomplishments this summer!

2024-25 SPORTS-ÉTUDES PROGRAM REGISTRATION

As most of you are aware, our club has recently partnered with Garneau High School to offer a soccer specific Sport-Études (school-studies) High Performance program. This program is designed to allow students to further develop as high-level soccer players from grades 7 to 12 who attend Garneau High School. It is led by our some of the strongest coaches at Ottawa TFC.

On January 10th, registration for this program was made available. We know some of you have expressed interest in participating and as such wanted to encourage you to register as soon as possible (as space is limited).
