2024-25 FAFSA To Open By December 31

The Department of Education has announced that the revamped 2024-25 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) will be available to students and families by December 31. The revamped FAFSA aims to simplify the process, enabling easier access to college financial aid and facilitating an increase in Pell Grant recipients by $610,000, ultimately extending the opportunity for the maximum Pell Grant award to 1.5 million additional students, totaling over 5.2 million eligible recipients. SME Scholarships are available for several key audiences including graduating high school seniors with financial need, students interested in community colleges, and minority and female students promoting diversity and inclusivity in the fields of manufacturing and engineering. A Registered Nurse and Mental Health Supervisor will be on-site Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Health Center to provide immediate assistance for the physical and mental health needs of students. The Duplicating Center in Gillmor Center (GC) will provide ongoing on-campus support for student book order pick-ups, returns, and select class supplies. Limited supplies of scantrons, blue books, and index cards will be made available for students at the Welcome Center in the Student Engagement Center (SEC) and the Info Desk in the Campus Center.
