The Good Old Days Dinner II
Sunday, July 17 from 2-6pm
As a #GoodDownThere Ambassador, NSO will distribute screening kits and educational materials at the Good Old Days Dinner II. All are welcome to attend but pre-registration is required.
This is an outdoor event to honor and celebrate the history and legacy of the McDougall-Hunt, Black Bottom, and Paradise Valley Neighborhoods in Detroit and to resurrect the Miller Old Timers reunion. There will be wonderful food, music, dancing and fun.
Stop by our booth and pick up your screening kit and BlackHeath/Cottonelle swag bag.
Kit distribution will focus on African American/Black people, 45 years of age or older.
Each kit includes a complimentary Fecal Immunochemical Test (FIT) which tests human hemoglobin (blood) in the stool. A positive result can indicate a colorectal cancer or polyp that needs to be removed. Addressing a positive result early is essential to minimize the chances of a bad health outcome in the future.
