It's Summer!

Knit something!

Dear knitting and crochet friends,

Here's a Ravelry message that we received recently:

Thanks Wanda! This will be my 4th Throwback! I love the pattern's excellent instructions and the fact that it has no short rows!!!

I get so many compliments each time I wear one to my knitting group."

Wow! I really needed the lift of these words. While I realize that not every knitter likes every design, it is uplifting to hear good words about the Throwback Tee.

I had been considering revising this pattern to include short rows. I guess I'll put that thought on the back burner and go on to other things.

Crocheters, this is the time of the year when I like to pick up a project that's easy to carry around. I'd like to finish a crocheted shawl from a few years back. Maybe I should dig that one out!

Click on the photo for a link to that luscious yarn, Zauberball Starke 6.

The lovely crocheted motif is from the Ripple As You Go, a shawl design that's a free download on Ravelry.com.

Finally, I'm a crazy sunglasses collector. I keep a pink mirrored pair of 2.0 readers in my knitting bag so I can slip those on and knit without anyone bothering me. When I look up, the world is smeary and distant. When I look down, I knit. That's good.

Happy knitting and crocheting,

Wanda

PPS That yarn in the sunglasses photos is Sockenwolle in Color 414.

PPPS And here's one last photo of the baby robins under our porch roof. They fledged this week and I miss them already!
