Celebrating Our 49th Anniversary!
Our 49th Anniversary is February 27, 2024! We're honored to serve our community by rescuing and rehabilitating the animals who need safe shelter, TLC, and medical care. Our lifesaving work is made possible because of the kindness and generosity we receive from our tightly-knit community and we are forever grateful.
To help us celebrate, you can round-up your purchases at our Spay/Neuter Clinic and Thrift Shop, or make a donation today! To make an online donation, click the button below. Checks can be mailed to HBPets PO Box 8, McMinnville, OR 97128.

We're making a huge impact!
In 2023, we provided 10,643 services to dogs and cats, including spay/neuter surgeries, shelter care, reuniting lost dogs, administering vaccines and microchips, along with issuing licenses to help lost pets return to their families.
Since 2017, our spay/neuter clinic has performed over 18,000 surgeries! Our online thrift shop and physical store sell unique treasures with proceeds supporting our work. They kept over 50 tons of resellable items out of local landfills last year alone!
We're very proud to be Oregon's first no-kill shelter, celebrating 49 years in 2024! It's our passion to serve the neglected, abused, and homeless dogs and cats who arrive at our shelter every day. With your help, we can rescue and rehabilitate more animals this year.

Together, we can build a new shelter!
We’re thrilled to announce that great progress continues as we prepare for construction of our new shelter. To continue serving our community and keep the shelter open, temporary trailers have been utilized for staff offices. The storage barn has been demolished, our fencing has been modified, and landscaping plans and septic bids have been submitted. Additionally, a new power pole, fire hydrant, and waterline have been installed!
To view the shelter design, watch the capital campaign video, and learn how you can help bring our dream to life, please visit HBPets.Org/CC.
Our goal is to build a safe, efficient shelter that provides animals with room to exercise, temperature and noise control and ventilation, natural light, and welcoming areas for the public and potential adopters. Our staff, volunteers, the community, and most importantly the animals will all benefit from having a healthier, safer, and low stress environment. Maintenance costs will decrease, allowing HBPets to spend more money where it will have the most impact – helping animals!

Here are a few of our sweet animals who have been patiently waiting (for too long, in our opinion!) for their forever families: hbpets.org/adopt.
Adopting a shelter pet isn't just about getting a new companion; it's about compassion, kindness and making a difference. Please join our rescue family today.
