Hartwood Makes A House A Home
Improving Quality of Life Matters Most
Happy Holidays!
As we enter the holiday season, we wish all of our subscribers a Happy Holiday season. The Hartwood residents are a tight knit family and we appreciate everyone enjoying their families during this season.
We thank you for your support of our organization and HAPPY HOLIDAYS to all!
From our President of the Board, Christian A. Brown

Hartwood Foundation celebrated 49 years of service this past summer. From our early beginnings as a family cooperative organization sharing resources to the thriving public-private community service organization of today, Hartwood has been an innovator in the development and operation of community-based residential and respite services for persons with intellectual and other developmental disabilities. We look to continue that leadership well into the future.
Supporting individuals as they age-in-place, often means making expensive modifications to our homes and procuring specialized vehicles and equipment that enable safe and comfortable community living. Please help us to meet the challenge of providing individualized person-centered services and supports to our current program participants while also positioning ourselves to serve those on the waitlist who are finally receiving funding for residential services.
Please give generously as you have in the past. With your help we can make a real difference in the lives of those we serve. We wish you a happy, healthy and safe Holiday Season!
With warmest regards,
Christian A. Brown, President Hartwood Foundation, Inc.
Our outing to enjoy George Mason Basketball

On Friday, December 3rd, residents from our Belleview, Hibbard and Spring Lake Terrace group homes attended GMU Men’s Basketball win 80-73 over Toledo. Hartwood had the privilege of being showcased at this event and the residents enjoyed all aspects of the university and their event offering.
Many thanks to George Mason University and their staff for making this event happen for our residents!
