Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is a method of using meditation and yoga to cultivate awareness and reduce stress. In the MBSR Distance Learning course, participants “meet” with their instructor and classmates once a week via web conference from wherever they may be.

Renew or deepen your mindfulness practice in a supportive retreat environment.
Join those currently enrolled in a Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (In-person or Distance) course for a half-day meditation intensive.
Pre-requisite: Completing an MBSR course is required to register for this event.

Join us for a weekly “taste” of mindfulness. No previous meditation experience is necessary. New participants will learn meditation practices with instructor guidance. Experienced meditators can also join us to deepen their daily practice in a community environment. Topics and instructors for each session vary.

Getting on Track provides a whole-person approach to weight management and lifestyle change. This eight-week program features weekly interactive nutrition, exercise, and behavioral change classes as well as weekly group exercise sessions and individualized nutrition and exercise plans.

Duke Health and Well-Being’s Marissa Holsten, LCSW, will discuss ways to be intentional and purposeful in creating positive experiences to balance your day-to-day stressors and create a strong foundation for your emotional health.

Track Circuit

Join us outdoors for this early morning, small group fitness class as we use the track area for our workout fun! Using available equipment such as benches, our track, and the ground, your workout will include both body strength and cardiovascular exercises.
The class is self-paced, and modifications will be given. The class will end with a full-body stretch. Bring your towel, mat, and water.

Balance & Function

Balance and Function is a weekly, in-person class designed to improve balance through functional exercises. Our goal is to reduce the risk of falls and improve confidence in everyday activities.
Activities include sitting to standing, reaching overhead for objects, getting up and down off the floor, and working through unstable surfaces in multiple directions.
