Born in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti, Hertz Nazaire was not just an artist, but a warrior and voice for those battling sickle cell disease. His vibrant oil pastels, influenced by Haitian culture and history, tell the story of his struggles with this painful disease. Despite facing homelessness and vision loss, Hertz used his art to inspire and advocate. Experience his legacy at the SCDAA Nod to โ€œNazโ€ Traveling Exhibit, Sept. 18-21, at the Cayenne Wellness Center and Children's Foundation 16th Annual Sickle Cell Disease Educational Summit.
